I went in every airport listed in the Admin Center, and changed every one of them by hand (Ex: Phoenix International Airport to Phoenix) There is a code in the forums that will do just that. Do a little searching i don't remember which category it is in (maybe Code snippets).

Schedule Search (Airline, Aircraft, Arrival, Departure)
Jeff replied to simpilot's topic in Simpilot Group Addons
I have tried many, many configurations on trying to change it, and also left multiple posts about getting it to work like that. I have even removed the Aircraft search altogether for about 2 months because of the way it looked with what I wanted to achieve, but placed it back. Dave, I hope you can shed some light on this subject, as I am still baffled myself on the calling of the aircraft. -
I am not quite sure what is causing it. It might be the chat box (only visible to logged in members) and/or the navigation menu. I noticed it a while back, but cannot remember after which script I added when it started. It is definitely something I will be looking into, but right now, it is not one of my top priorities.

Not sure where the problem lies, as I use the exact same code I posted above, and I also use the same format Simpilot presented and it shows up correctly. For example on my Tour page, it is showing "Tour - Virtual Flight Zone" on the page tab and the bottom browser tag. Maybe you can post your Module code to see if there is something there that might be conflicting with it. You might also have another <title></title> somewhere in the layout.tpl that may be conflicting with it.
-
I love the fact that you have a lot of information available to the public on your home page. I, in fact am still trying to figure out what to put on mine. The only thing I have to criticize about is the amount of info you are presenting is really bunched and looks cluttered. Don't get me wrong by thinking it is a bad thing. I am just saying that maybe the templates' width might be a little more wider, or actually leaving the width alone and place the bottom 3 tables up above the two doubles you have there. It is an outstanding template, and an even more impressive presentation you are trying to show. You have definitely improved a great deal since you first came to VMS. Keep it up
-
I doubt it, as I haven't received any notices from my members saying they had a problem with it. Does it not connect at all? Give errors? Crashes? Give us an example of how it is acting so we know more about your problem, and how to fix it.
-
The original <title> can be found in your layout.tpl If, by some chance, it is not there, you can add it there. If you look in the crystal skin, and open the layout.tpl file, you will see <title><?php echo $page_title; ?></title> Just place this in your layout.tpl you are using, and it will give you the result you are looking for.

My Holiday Airline (virtual) is looking for pilots
Jeff replied to tgycgijoes's topic in Virtual Airlines Discussion
I agree with Joeri on his last post completely. Both he and I (along with many others) have been here for a very long time, and have seen a lot of opening and closings of many VA's. We have even seen a few members open a new VA, shut it down open a new one, shut it down all within just a few weeks. I'm not going to put words in his mouth, but his American English may not come out to be as you might speak it, but he is just speaking his mind. Most of us are very sincere in our aviation hobby, and we do want to see everyone here succeed in it. My point is..."Your site is only as good as you want it to be." It doesn't matter what it looks like or what it offers. It all depends on the persons preferences and interests. I have seen some really awful VA's succeed tremendously (not saying yours is awful), and have also seen some really beautiful VA's plummet very quickly. As Joeri said in his last post "i said in earlier posts is not to bash or bring you down i'm just letting you know how the site looks in general". Once you start advertising your VA in the VA Discussions page, it is fair game to give and receive criticism and also receive positive remarks about your website. I, personally don't agree with advertising my VA in these forums because we are all CEO's in here. If you go advertising your website here, we are thinking that you want to know what it looks like, and most are quick to judge, but we are also quick to give kind and helpful hints for your success. Have a great time with your VA. -
Yeah Kyle, That post never came up in the Search when I was looking for it. Jeffrey, I have an open support ticket on his website, and he is looking into it for me. If he cannot find something, do you mind me PMing you for help with it (with his permission, of course)?
-
I read that, and agree to it 100%. When I purchased the Tour module I had discussed to him about it, and he said it wasn't incorporated in the system. I have actually seen some VA's with it coded in it. I just wanted to know if someone could PM me a code for it. I will attempt another Open Ticket, and see if Dave can help me out with it. Sorry, for posting here, I should've searched more thoroughly before opening a new thread. I guess I can take my foot out of my mouth now . Thanks Kyle.
-
I would appreciate it very much if someone in here can show me how to click a link in the tour_details.tpl in simpilot's tour mod that will allow a member to bid on all the flights instead of having to go into the schedules and adding them one by one. Please help me on this.

I was in your shoes 2 years ago. Now I can do about 75% of my designing and coding. The other 25% is all the complex php crap that I have to wiggle my way through, but I'm getting the hang of it. You do know that we are here to help each other in designing and coding don't you? Just ask if you are not sure about something.
-
You are welcome. It is a little more work doing it this way, but it is a lot cleaner, and it is easier to do it this way since you can also edit it without the worry of accidentally deleting a code due to "pages" tend to delete php coding.

Yeah! It's been sweeping up all over the place lately. We had one real bad storm rip through the Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama region. Making some small towns look like a war zone.

Rename your core/templates/registration_mainform.tpl to something else Create a new file called registration_mainform.tpl Place this code in the new registration_mainform.tpl <h3>Registration</h3> <p>Welcome to the registration form for <?php echo SITE_NAME; ?>. After you register, you will be notified by a staff member about your membership.</p> <form method="post" action="<?php echo url('/registration');?>"> <dl> <dt>First Name: <font color="#FF0000">*</font></dt> <dd><input type="text" name="firstname" value="<?php echo Vars::POST('firstname');?>" /> <?php if($firstname_error == true) echo '<p class="error">Please enter your first name</p>'; ?> </dd> <dt>Last Name: <font color="#FF0000">*</font></dt> <dd><input type="text" name="lastname" value="<?php echo Vars::POST('lastname');?>" /> <?php if($lastname_error == true) echo '<p class="error">Please enter your last name</p>'; ?> </dd> <dt>Email Address: <font color="#FF0000">*</font></dt> <dd><input type="text" name="email" value="<?php echo Vars::POST('email');?>" /> <?php if($email_error == true) echo '<p class="error">Please enter your email address</p>'; ?> </dd> <input type="hidden" name="code" value="UAE" /> <dt>Hub: <font color="#FF0000">*</font></dt> <dd> <select name="hub" id="hub"> <?php foreach($allhubs as $hub) { echo '<option value="'.$hub->icao.'">'.$hub->icao.' - (' . $hub->name .')</option>'; } ?> </select> </dd> <dt>Location: <font color="#FF0000">*</font></dt> <dd><select name="location"> <?php foreach($countries as $countryCode=>$countryName) { if(Vars::POST('location') == $countryCode) $sel = 'selected="selected"'; else $sel = ''; echo '<option value="'.$countryCode.'" '.$sel.'>'.$countryName.'</option>'; } ?> </select> <?php if($location_error == true) echo '<p class="error">Please enter your location</p>'; ?> </dd> <dt>Password: <font color="#FF0000">*</font></dt> <dd><input id="password" type="password" name="password1" value="" /></dd> <dt>Enter your password again: <font color="#FF0000">*</font></dt> <dd><input type="password" name="password2" value="" /> <?php if($password_error != '') echo '<p class="error">'.$password_error.'</p>'; ?> </dd> <?php //Put this in a seperate template. Shows the Custom Fields for registration Template::Show('registration_customfields.tpl'); ?> <dt>reCaptcha</dt> <dd> <?php echo recaptcha_get_html(Config::Get('RECAPTCHA_PUBLIC_KEY'), $captcha_error); ?> </dd> <dt></dt> <dd><p>By clicking register, you're agreeing to the terms and conditions</p></dd> <dt></dt> <dd><input type="submit" name="submit" value="Register!" /></dd> </dl> </form> Save the file. Now all new registered members will all be UAE0001, UAE0002 ...etc.

If you go in phpMyAdmin and start deleting Pireps, it will affect every pilot that pirep is associated to. This also goes for aircraft and airports. It is best to leave all information concerning flight operations alone as it will definitely make your system all screwy.
-
Is that going to skip over the PID of the approved registered, or will it assign the PID as it is accepted. Example: John Doe registered to your site. Jane Doe registered to your site. Jane Doe is accepted and received PID of XXX0001. John Doe is accepted and received PID of XXX0002 (or will John Doe receive XXX0001 and Jane Doe receive XXX0002)? Just wondering (I'm not going to change to this) I just thought I'd ask before someone else has a problem with it after changing to this.
-
Really dude? Read the forums, documents and experiment. Don't register and two minutes later post that (especially in the wrong thread).

<strong>Total Aircraft: </strong><?php echo StatsData::TotalAircraftInFleet(); ?>

I love it when VA's state that they are open for business, and they don't have anything ready for new members that want to fly. There are about 90% of the links that go nowhere, and a grand total of 0 schedules. Nice template though. Might want to add a footer.

What is being shown where the info is supposed to be? Is there an error, blank or what?

Finaly got phpvms installed but no links working. [SOLVED]
Jeff replied to JustinRomaine's topic in Support Forum
Originally, it's located in the install folder. If you still have this folder, go to www.yoursite.com/install/checkinstall.php
