When searching for a route, the default schedule search when searching under destination and arrival airports shows a HTML select with options for each all airports. As we have 23000+ airports, this causes a huge unnecessary burden on our system. We'd like to limit the search to airports served by our routes only, so could someone help me with the code for this? I've looked through the API, but I don't have a test install environment right now, so can't afford to screw it up!

I'm running phpVMS on Mediatemple's Grid-service, where I have been a customer for 5 years now. I have always noticed latency with database-driven websites there and phpVMS is no different. I have the full navdata and airport SQL imported that I found here on the forum, so especially the schedule search is slow. However, we've started to get reports (and I have seen first-hand) of our custom kACARS crashing and throwing errors throughout our flights ("the underlying connection was closed"). I'm assuming this has something to do with the .NET keepalive property, but am guessing that the connection is not staying alive due to the nature of the cloud-based hosting, with re…

Hi there, I have a difficult question, I guess. The flight search for pilots does search for various inputs. For example when I search for A320 and EDDF, the reults are either flights departing from EDDF or flights with A320. But what I want is a explicit search for flights departing from EDDF with A320. How can I change it? Many thanks in advance!

Pilots not able to Register!

Well, when pilots try to register, they say that it redirects back to the registration form. The only way I've been able to register them is through phpMvAdmin. Btw, this website's tables are edited a lot so we can get back our data from when our sql server crashed. I can't access our tables in the phpVMS admin page either. Like, in the Schedules or View all Pilots area, the table is empty! Please tell me what I have to do... Thanks

I wonder could someone help me with regards to VA's and how their rankings are effected by time acceleration by pilots. I know of one VA which actively encourages it's pilots to use time acceleration during all long haul flights, presumably in order to get a high ranking position. I am just wondering if there is any safeguard against this practice, which to my mind puts all reputable VA's at a great disadvantage. Please excuse me if I have posted this in the wrong place by the way, I am unfamiliar with the forums. Thanks for any help.

Hi guys I am new to this and an amature php developer. It more of a hobby. Please bear with me. I have just set up phpvms and it's working great. The only thing is that when I try adding a route in the admin area the route is not there. Tried up loading it via csv file and the same, it does not appear in the routes. A similar thing happens with the pirep. It says the server has received the pirep but I can't see it in the admin panel. I am running it on localhost As i wanna get it all working befor I make it live. I don't like the fact that inactive pilots cannot access the website. So, they contact Human Resources, and then I set them as active, but I think the system changes it back. It's so annoying. How the hell do I turn it off - it's creating problems!!!

I have however one small problem, I was sure I had it right but it's just coming out blank! Hey, at our web host's data center, there was a power failure and a lot of sql servers have been corrupted. Our sql database was also lost and we never made a complete back up of the sql. The rest of our website (phpVMS itself) is still there but it won't work without the database. How do I re-install the database? When I run install.php, it gives me that there's an error while redeclaring ezdb on line 31. When I ran checkinstall.php, I got an error that navdata.sql is missing. I re-downloaded phpVMS and uploaded the frest navdata.sql but now it says that there's a checksum failure. The navdata.sql file doesn't match or is old. Please help.

I try to put my web site on a new web hosting server and every time when i import my flight schedules from my csv template and when i click on a route it is always saying No route passed i been working on this pass three months trying to get it fix and i install and uninstall and reinstall with always new database for my mysql every time but it is still doing this No route passed. even using the first template that cam with the phpvms skins. Please help
