I think this should be a forum post of its own...this is very helpful information on how to get a realworld airlines permission to use there brand, name , and logo for a virtual airline...i didnt know this my self but this has become to me very useful! i had always woundered who to contact to ask for permission to make a VA

OH okay i see your problem the thing is ...the way you edited the link is making it go to the same place twice (http://www.google.com/http://www.google.com) replace the code with this and it should work now <li><a href="<?php echo SITE_URL ?>/forum">Forum</a></li> let me know how it goes!!

All of you guys missed the fact of how phpvms is structured designed wise...its language is PHP...its design is CSS it all comes together with templates, its actually more better tham HTML alone...more customizable. And Murray i dont see no forum option in your menu bar...maybe i need to be logged in but if that is the case this is the code that you need to make that button take you to your forum in your "core_navigation.tpl" add/edit this code to point to your forum <li><a href="<?php echo SITE_URL ?>/index.php/XXX">Forum</a></li> Change the XXX to match your forum URL and it should do the trick... let me know if it works out for you!

I really recommend Txmmy83 FLIGHT BOARD...im using it on my VA just that i had to assign it a new CLASS number because it was in the RECENT BID and the table was big for the little box that i had Recent Bids on...BUT now it seems as it has gotten stuck or its no longer updating it self!! it still says im TAXIING when i have clearly logged off FSACARS hours ago! You can see it here on my site that it still says im TAXXING...even my live map says that...is there a fix for this?!?!? Check it out and see for your self how stuck it is virginamericava.co.cc

Also im not sure if this has been brought up but wen i click on remove booking it directs me to http://www.alvandair.com/index.php/schedules/bids ______________________________________________________________________ SOLVED ______________________________________________________________________ I fixed it! but i think you should change it in the install files its in the "airport_search.tpl" and it does direct you to alvandair.com when you click on REMOVE BOOKING!

okay im having somewat same problem as SINOCO...and i think i know why this is happening...atleast with me...i had RealSchedulesLite but upon wanting to switch to FlightBookingSystem i deleted the table i had from realschedules and tried to run the SQL file given with FlightBooking in which it gave me an error...i added the table manually and it finally works but as my CURRENT LOCATION it says () is there a way i can fix this?

with the many airlines you have opend and closed...if you ever get pilots...i hope they can verify there hours if you decided to close your VA like the other ones!! its not really good to open and close VAs up and down....specially if you have pilots...at the end most of them cant verify there hours because your airline no longer exists...JUST MY TWO CENTS ON THE MATTER!

well thank you for all that information apparently i would categorize this as a marketing scheme... i was able to find a bit more information on this person!! his real name is not waleed atleast he is not the person who owns waleeddc.com according to records his name is Mansoor Chauhan he is from Pakistan and works at CMN.COM.PK his email is mansoor@cmn.com.pk and his address points to Lahore Punjab PK(Pakistan) most of his sites were free hosting but now that he bought the domain name http://www.waleeddc.com he hosts his own VA sites as sub domain names(ex. virtualqatar.waleeddc.com) even though he is from pakistan and his domain name registration provider is from Pakistan his IP points to Houston Tx. USA. you might ask how i know most of this stuff...im an IT and webdesigner for stickam.com and can get info on ppl but you can also get simple information like the one i just posted by simply looking up the who.is of the owner of the domain name heres the link if you wana see for your self...you can do this to any website!! http://who.is/whois/waleeddc.com/

you really "didnt" have to use it...you could of asked for permission from the owner...im assuming http://stevenairspace.com is the owner...and give credit to the owner of the pics for there work! and yea some of the pics are very blurry and too stretched out! all you have to do is fly a Qatar plane out in the sky and take pics!! NOT VERY HARD TO DO! i would join and would love to be your webmaster! but if you are going to be doing real world Qatar flights...then im out...ive never herd of Qatar and from what im seeing on there site..most of there flights i dislike! sorry

i think you are better off asking the airline itself if you can you there name and point out its not for real aviation its only for simulation... and yea i think only AA allowed that but not sure... i know alot of mexican airlines allow it..as i work for Avolar since its no longer in existance but aeromexico allows it...so does volaris and i think mexicana too but not sure! or you can play it safe and just come up with your own va name!!

Yea im with conor and especially with jeff... when i look at other va websites i look at the thing i can replicate and make it more better or advance or in some other way change it to be unique and not be like its counter part. we all look at each others work and try to make it better depending on our needs!!

@ jamlava im quite interested.... if you can send me some details and what your thinking to accomplish and we can take it from there if you want.... NVAA was a very unsuccessful VA alliance. I was part of it. I was the CEO of AeroCalifornia Virtual. They were great guys but they werent able to get enough VAs to join i guess after i left they got a few other VAs. I left AeroCalifornia Virtual as i was going to form alliance with AeroCalifornia Virtual MX making me AeroCalifornia Virtual USA but AeroCalifornia Virtual MX was ran by a CEO that was not good at doing his job leaving everything to all his managers and pilots and i changed and made Taesa Virtual which i later gave to some one in mexico and i am no in the process of making Avolar Virtual.
