Hi Folks, I was just wondering if anyone else received an email from another Virtual Airline offering a merger deal. I recently received and email offering a merger deal with benefits. It was stated that there was an extreme lack of activity at our airline....hmmm, over 4,000 flights and heading for 7,000 hours logged.... I emailed back wondering where he came up with this idea that we were failing...his reply was that since we used a free source pirep solution, we must be on our last legs and ripe for the picking. It is not my intent to turn this forum into a bashing session against another VA so I will not post the person's name or VA. If anyone were to pm me ask…

I noticed something today, and thought I'd come to the forum here and see if anyone else had brought it up and maybe shared a few good laughs with everyone else, but I couldn't find anything. I like the randomly generated Airplane! quotes in the Admin footer. Very clever easter egg I wouldn't have noticed if my Internet connection wouldn't have hit a snag and stuck with the footer in my face.

So...airnav won't budge, despite the fact that they don't have an AUP in place, and claim that I'm spidering. Lame. Anyone know of any other resources to get fuel prices? I could do a 'community database', but not sure how much good that would do, since there's alot of manual investment. Maybe something that collects averages from vaCentral?

Hello everyone. I have heard of such a system as the dispatch, but absolutely no idea how it works in the php-code, no idea about his work with this system. Can anyone tell how he, for instance, arranged works, where do the data to calculate, as computed data for any aircraft. I hope the issue is clear. Thank you.

This comes under the heading of the older I get, the dumber I get. I saw a thread about a modification that would make multiple aircraft available for a flight. A few days later, when I wanted to look more closely at the idea, I just couldn't find it. I tried searchging for it, but to no avail. Can anyone point me to it? thanks.

As everyone knows, I built my VA website some time ago with phpVMS and I have had issues beyond my control and am now starting over from scratch. No launch date in sight so far. if it is not right this time, I am sticking to someone else's VA ;-) Soooo, I was wondering if I could con someone into creating me a Thunder VA logo to match the Crystal skin, that will work for me temporarily until I get all the bells and whistles done. This time around, the skin is going to be the last thing I do. So if I had a logo, atleast folks would know it is the Thunder VA site and not phpVMS site. Thanks in advance either way. Ray

I've been looking around the code in app.config.php and spotted this. Config::Set('DAYS_COMPACT', array('Su', 'M', 'T', 'W', 'Th', 'F', 'S', 'Su')); Config::Set('DAYS_LONG', array('Sunday', 'Monday', 'Tuesday', 'Wednesday', 'Thursday', 'Friday', 'Saturday', 'Sunday' ) ); I know as much about PHP as I know about quantum mechanics, so I am curious as to why Sunday/Su is in the array twice. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I'm using live fuel prices and all I can say is "ouch". As of the time of this posting my VA has 79 flights recorded with over $3,000,000.00 spent in fuel! Thank goodness I have plenty of "virtual passengers" flying with us or I'd go bankrupt. Sorry, just had to post this little bit of silliness. Keith

I am no longer doing phpvms skins for other va's, there are just too many things to be doing right now, but do not want people hitting my site to not have any options. But the question is, will there be problems that is conflicting windows vista to windows 7. becasue that i made a partition. Also can i chose manually which windows i want to run? Just been surfing google street view, and i noticed a little 3d thing where you can toggle 3d imagery on and off. I dont know if it works cause i dont have any 3d specs, but it'd be cool if someone does try it and let me know the results

Hey everyone, Since learning how to do them, I have a bunch of phpVMS functions lying idle on my site, and I think other people could utilize them. How about, if there was some sort of pastebin-style thing where everybody contributed their different functions as addons. There's always the code snippets forum, but this might be a little nicer. Just a thought!

Wanted to share a friendly reminder not to text and drive. 3 1/2 hours ago, I was driving home and a 43 year old mom ran a stopsign and hit my car, causing my head to go threw my drivers window. 4 Stitches on Side of Head, Broken Nose, 7 Stitches on my nose, Severe bruising. Dont text and drive. Its just not cool.

Just wanted to swing by and say hello to everyone. I have not worked on my VA site or anything for a while now. I could not get anyone to help me out when they joined so now it is online and just sitting there. I have since joined a VA that has been around for 10 years or so now and I took over as Hub Manager for Honolulu and am a full time ATC there. I will be updating my own site adventually as I still use it on my own from time to time. I do thank all here who have helped me in the past and a BIG thanks to Nabeel who under his own free will gives us such a great script to use. Take it easy all and keep the blue side up! Ray
