Hi guys, some of our pilots and myself would love to have an event but unfortnuately in my opinion we are just not enough active pilots. I think the more pilots join an event the more fun it is. Therefore I want to ask if anyone of you guys is interested in organizing an event (fly-in, fly-by-route,....or whatever) for our VA`s together. Maybe a fly by route between our major hub Athens (LGAV) and the Hub of your VA. I think it would be lots of fun to meet new people and for sure it would be a much nicer event when there is some traffic on the route and not only we few guys from hellenic. My VA is hellenic airways: http://www.hellenicair.co.nr If anyone is interested …

Air Serbia is proud to announce the further expansion of our operations. We have just dry leased two Fokker F-100 jets for an undisclosed period of time. We are planning these jets, now registered YU-AAS and YU-AAT, to fly on short to medium haul routes across the Mediterranean to relieve the Boeing fleet. Two more Fokker F-100 jets will also be joining the Air Serbia fleet some time during May, and are most likely to operate from Tivat (TIV) airport. As a side note, our only transcontinental jet, the B767-300ER YU-ACA, named Serbia, is now re-registered as YU-AAZ. For and on behalf of Air Serbia, Sava Markovic Acting Chief Executive Officer

Hey Guys, I've begun working on a new VA.... wel its one that I had the concept for a long time ago and never got round to doing.. but given that my background is largely in Military "Stuff" I thought id post here for volunteers or people who may be interested in getting involved. In particular I'm looking for people with repaint experience and experience of setting up effective flight schedules. The concept.. I dont want to reveal too much, but the basic concept is a VA that exclusively flys into and out of THE most challenging airfields around the world. Smaller Hubs but some really hazardous challenging flying in a range of fixed and rotary aircraft. If this is the…

I would like to formally announce a 'new' virtual airline: Transamericana Aerolinea Virtual ("TAV"). Online for 13 months, we (loosely) approximate a large Latin American commercial carrier (such as TACA/Avianca or Lan Chile) in that our primary service area is in Central and South America, with routes to North America, Europe, and into and across the Pacific. Our core service area includes all three of the world's three highest International Airports serving National Capitals (SLLP is >13000' MSL!) as well as airports on the sides of mountains and at the bottoms of canyons (both types with limited maneuvering space), and remote dirt bush strips in the Amazon Basin -…

This month, we are going to change things up a bit. We are giving you a departure airport and you get to pick your destination. Sounds easy enough right, so what’s the challenge? The Challenge is to fly as far away from the departure airport as possible and land within VFR fuel reserve of 15 minutes. Starting at The Pitt Meadows airport (CYPK) and you are required to load the Canadian Xpress® DeHavilland Dash 6-Q300 (DHC6) with a copilot, yourself, and 50% fuel and head north east in to the BC interior. The DeHavilland Dash 6-Q300 is not a pressurized aircraft. Portable oxygen is available; however you can only stay on portable oxygen for a maximum of 15 minutes for …

All of the staff here have been running on simulators for atleast 2 years and some of us even more. We welcome everyone even if you just purchased the simulator to come and fly with us. My webmaster brought to my attention a very hurtful link this evening. Unfortunately, my webmasters hard work has been stolen and is currently trying to be used on another website. I will not release that website at this time as I am awaiting a response from the airlines CEO about this matter. It hurts to know that someone else's great and hard work can be just taken like this, in an attempt at making their website look as good. I am calling upon the VA community to put a stop to this, and stand up against this fraud. It's sad that the same person who has been found of stealing websites in the past, has Done this again and thought he could get away with it. Please kee…

AAvirtual has decided to start limiting registrations. We will now only allow up to 350 pilots to join our ranks. Upon registering you are given a random code which can be used to track your application. The staff and I were wondering what you guys think of something like this? Is it a bit to much or is it more or less reasonable in order for organization, etc.? AAvirtual.net is the website URL. Ada
