Hello With the paided version of kACARS is there any auto config file which stop members having to edit the core directory of the application? I have alot of members who dont know how to configure there kACARS software so it would be good to have an .exe file to do it for them? Thanks Michael D

I had this problem a while back with a pilot, can't remember how it was resolved. Finally got everything installed and ready to go but when i try to record the flight with the orange arrow it says plane not on ground even though it is and the brakes are set. Do I have to have engine off too? Please help! I am using a custom kACARS. Has anyone else had this problem? He is on Windows Vista 64 bit, using FSX.

Hi, Our v.a. uses custom kACARS and one of our pilots is struggling with a fuel issue, in that 99% of his PIREPs show 0kg fuel usage, even though the log itself shows correct take-off and landing fuel quantities in lbs. Very occasionally he will have a PIREP with the correctly calculated value in kg, but I'm at a loss to figure out why most show 0kg. PIREPs from all other pilots are spot on with the fuel usage the majority of the time, although sometimes I will see a report with a negative value, but there is no indication of midair refuel etc. In all the above situations, I can manually work out the use by subtracting the landing fuel value from the take-off value, a…

We just finished uploading a new website but now our Custom KAcars will not connect. We get an unhandled exception error everytime. I have used this install of the custom KAcars for well over a year now with no issues. The web urls and root folders on the site are exactly the same. I am at a loss here. Help!! Chuck CYXU

I am currently using kAcars Free v1.0.0.9 and I had to reinstall my entire system (PC). I installed kAcars Free 1.0.0.9 and noticed the following: I can create VA Profiles in the Options | VA Profiles menu dialog. There I see two listed, Template and my own VA entry. When I chose mine I see the Base URL, Pilot ID and Password on the dialog, so far so good. The problem is if I click on the X button it exits which is understandable. However, if I click on the button that has the floppy icon "Save Edited Profile" rather than exiting the dialog and set the Main controls to the chosen profile, it simply leaves the VA dropdown to the VA I chose but clears out the Base URL, Pi…

Hi Everyone Any ideas how to solve the attached problem, i have entered my VA's details and my Pilot Id and Password, but when i go to begin recording a flight i get the error messaage as shown in the image attached below. Hello evrybody. I would like to ask if it is possible to stop the flight log with kacars when the Pilot shutts down the engine,and not when the parkring break are set. Last time i had 8 planes in front of me,and i putted the parking brakes on,and the flight log stopped immediately. I looked in the kacars_free.php but cant find it Sorry guys it is xacars lol so forget it :-( Regards

So I have read many times this is a slow server error. While I have never had any issues at all with slowness on this server, I am willing to bite on the slow server bait. How can I fix this issue to make the script just ignore that error and continue on? We are using the Customs Kacars device on our VA. Also, I run another little VA on the side that uses the free version, can I fix that error on that module (script) as well? The person who paid for our script emailed Jeff and got no reply that I know of thus far. It's been a month or so ago. If anyone has a clue, PLEASE fill me in on what to do. Hello I have a little Problem with KAcars. My Pilots fly the flight and landing. And then say me all Pilots she have a Landingrate from 20 up to 150 fpm. But in the Log i see she have 600 and more fpm.I think its an Bug. Anybody a idea to resolve this? Thanks and Regards

Hi! I introduced ACARS in my VA, using of course kACARS. It works well, I'm happy about it. I have a quick question, when a pilot ends his flight, the flight shows in the live map page for a very long time! Maybe they don't close kACARS properly? Do we have to close flight sim before kACARS? Thanks!

Hello All, kACARS has been working fantastically up until the last few flights. Now when someone goes to file a pirep they are given a connection error. Interestingly the pirep still files on the main site but their bid is not removed from their bid list. All other parts of kACARS work correctly. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help

I contacted Jeffrey but thought it'd be best to post here. Does anyone know how to export own data to kACARS? Take passengers for example. There is: $load = $xml->pirep->pax; in the code but this won't set the actual value. I'm assuming the values are decided in the XML? Any ideas?

Hi everyone! I just now started messing with KACARS and am curious why I do not show up on my live map on site? I see screenshots of others on their maps but for the life of me, I can not get mine to show. All other ACARS scripts that work with livemap work on my site. Done checked. Did I miss something somewhere? ANd I notice it has a load button bottom left side.... Can anyone elaborate on that one for me please? I am a little lost I guess. Thanks in advance. Ray

Hello I posted this here but it seems it's more likely to get seen in this forum. If this is considered a double post, sorry. kACARS is a really neat and user-friendly ACARS application but I have one problem with it. It records the boarding time (i.e. the time before pushback is started) as the actual departure time (labeled "Act Depart Time" in the UI). This can skew your block times making them longer - for which your Virtual Airline my penalize you. This isn't much of a problem if you only start kACARS at the time you are ready for pushback. But strictly speaking I don't think this is correct behavior since departure time is normally the time pushback begins i.e. bl…

Many of our members are experiencing the issue that when the start there flight with KACARS & FSUIPC there FSX Crashes after a while of flight. I am unable to find a solution to this issue.. Lorathon can you update me on this? Is it a KACARS issue or what? How can we solve this? All FSX Members are complaining the same since we upgraded to KACARS 1.0.1.1

Hi, My VA has also a small cargo division which carries illegal stuff . Because of this we can't have sceduled cargo flights... I'd like to know if the "Load" section when charter selected can reccognize weight instead of pax number. Cheers,

I am a bit confused. In my VA I am using currently the 1.0.0.9 version. However, when I visit the FS Products website it says the latest kAcars Free version is 1.0.1.6 thus newer than mine. However, when I chose the Download link of the FS Products site it brings me to the download page of phpVMS and there it downloads version 1.0.1.1 instead. So, which one is really the last version?

Hello, Some of our pilots, including myself (6 in total) have been getting the following error message: unhanded exception has occurred in application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue (just brings uo same message) if you click quit, the application will close immediately. (it shuts down but then on reload gives the same message box) I have tried re-installing ACARS, .NET Framework and FSUIPC with no luck, the others have tried it also. Cheers, Thomas.

Hi there, I was just wondering if the FlightStatus variable is actually working completely in the Free version. I suspect it is not, but wanted to double-check before I go any further with what I'm trying to do which is to have kACARS tell the user that the airplane is out of service if they try and bid on a plane that is not enabled. The module is coded that if you pass the number 3 back through the XML for FlightStatus, that is supposed to represent "Out of Service", but it seems the only two messages that get passed are "Flight Found" and "Flight Not Found". Am I doing something wrong or is that the case? Cheers.

hello again guys, i been adding other VA's to Simb6 like CapeAir , and when i try to add a banner to Cape Air , it not letting me to do it know one know how to add banners to other VA's like Ex1: SimB6 1 banner Ex2: CapeAir Banner that is going to show when i login into the kAcars and on Pilot Info it will apper there if i connect with JBUxxx i will have the Simb6 Banner and if i connect with CapeAir i will have CapeAir banner How , help please

I have managed to setup and use kACARS and it works well until you start FSnav that is another problem. but here is the one i would like an answer too.
