I'm about to start some full on development (perhaps even for phpVMS) with another PHP Framework. Does anybody have a favourite? I don't have much experience with PHP frameworks, the only framework I've ever used is Rails for Ruby. Thanks guys.

Hello there, We have a system where pilots can submit schedules that they wish to add to our databases. They are then validated and added by one of the admins. Given that I know the pilot's ID is there a built in function/class that will allow me to send the pilot an email with i.e. "Hi there, your schedule request was accepted and added" Of course, there is the long way of sending an email with PHP, but phpvms has so many built in features, I am wondering if a mailing feature is also present. Hi everyone, I recently invested in some new servers at a completely different datacenter for my web hosting business. I am yet to fully test them so this is where I have an idea. I'm thinking of running a limited amount of free basic PHPVMS hosting plans to check their reliability. So I'm asking the PHPVMS community if it is worth doing and something that you might be interested in. Obviously the free plan will be quite limited and obviously there will be paid plans (but I won't advertise those here if you don't want that). I'd like the ability to directly control what users see when they first come to the site. Have some introduction text, images, and the like.Currently it just seems to show some statistics and its not a fantastic first impression especially for new users.

what about automatic route scheduling. Something like all you have to do is enter all of the airports you serve and then the program does the rest. I'm not sure how difficult it would be to progrma something like this. Just an idea though!

Is it possible to have a "new topics since you last visted" button like phpbb and every other forum ive used does? Maybe its the skin your using but for me it makes navigating new posts slower as i have to read more to find what i want lol. Dave

Folks I have an issue here I need a hand with. I have aquired a laptop that I really did not want anything to do with. Long story short, the kid had it and it had Windows Xp on it. Not sure what or how he did it, but he installed Ubuntu. Not sure what version. Then he decided he hated Ubuntu and did a fdisk and deleted every single partition. Now the laptop will not do anything.
