Hello I've had already a few times that the fuel consumption posted by kacars was incorrect. I think I've got it narrowed down to that you have to set your fuel *before* hitting start flight, but not sure. I am having an issue with some kAcars PIREPs that seems to only be happening with one pilot (at the moment). The data coming through is incomplete, and not consistent. See attached. These are just two recent examples, but it's been occurring since he joined. So here's what I've done up until writing this thread: 1. Seeing as how it's only happening with one pilot, I immediately thought it to be an installation issue on his end (and it still might be). My staff and I followed up with him to understand his installation, and we don't feel he's done anything differently or erroneously from anyone else. This might not be the correct forum, but I am trying to find out where the aircraft in the PIREP is being reported from. Is it the aircraft in the schedule the pilot has bid on? The reason is we're trying to implement routes that can be flown by any aircraft and I don't want 27 number of aircraft types in our fleet) different flight schedules for each route. So I thought about adding a "default aircraft" to every route and then allowing the pilots to select the actual aircraft being flown from the dropdown menu in our customized kACARS. hello im some what new to the forums and haven't been able to find anything on this topic. so i have installed the latest version of kacars as well as installed the module and have entered my pilot id and password i get a connection error i have noticed that this was in the forums a while back (http://forum.phpvms.net/topic/7359-kacars-setup-with-phpvms-erorr-000webhost-solved/)and it looks like im having the same problem as he did it says solved but no explanation to how he solved it any ideas on how this could be solved.

Hi, one of my pilots is saying that when he starts kACARS and sets up his flight and is at an airport which has add-on scenery kACARS tells him that his aircraft is not on the ground? is there a fix for this or is it a problem on his machine? Thanks Scott

Hello, we have problem with login to kAcarsFree. Our ailirnes code start with number (8F). When pilot use correct pilotID (for example 8F232) kAcars can't log. When use incorrect pilotID prefix (for example F232) kAcars log. Can you help me to solve this problem? Thanks! Peter

so I the site administrator of http://www.virtualcanadianairforce.com and every time i try to get kAcars to work it gives me a switch = verify error. Here's a Picture of the error. http://gyazo.com/06f5885c70e42610574c5eff2e551027 the module is the same version as the client and it is installed in the right dirctory. I dont know what to do. the directory is core/modules/kAcrars_free thanks

Recently, users have been contacting me about issues downloading the kacars program from my site. Not everyone has this issue though. The issue is caused that when they download from the site it converts the file to a .man file. I checked the backside and it has the item downloaded onto the server as a .msi....any idea why when they download the program it is switching the extension to a .man? Is there a way to fix this?

As do a few airlines, we use alphanumeric callsigns on our flights. This is an extra column in the schedules. What I need to do is let kACARS incorporate this. I can already get phpVMS to output the callsign to kACARS so that it is displayed in the flight number box but it does not show on the ACARS map, or in PIREPs. Doing it in my head gets quite complicated as all I'm trying to do is replace the flight number with the callsign throughout the code, but still using the flight number variable. Has anyone else done this or know how?

Hi. I have been using Kacars free for about a year now and it's great! http://www.fsvintage...pvms/index.php/ I do have a question, on the live map everting is working fine, but the Distance/Time Remain does not work. A few days ago I used v1.0.0.8 and was able to retrieve the flight bid I had made, then I flew my inaugural flight. I now have 1.0.0.9 installed and on my VA site I made a bid for a flight. I have configured (and selected) this VA profile (my only profile). I am also able to log in to my VA ("Logged In" green label). However, when I press the "Get Flight Number Info" It gives me a red label "No Flight Info Found" pressing it subsequently leaves the user with the same red label, not knowing whether it is an old message or doing something :-( If I enter the flight number (complete) in the textbox then it is able to retrieve. Folks, Using a custom build KaCars. Recently the Departure and Arrival pulldown under METAR only displays "1". I checked all I know and still having problem. Did a reinstall of kACARS, checked FSUIPC and all seems good. Is anyone else having this issue?

Were were talking on our forum and were wondering how does kACARS determine the landing rate? At touchdown the rate becomes zero, so is the rate determined at the moment of contact? One second prior? Two seconds? Is it an average of the last few seconds? And take off speed. Is it the IAS at the moment of liftoff? Just curious how these parameters are determined.

As w know, a lot of us can connect to kacars or acars and with a lot of va's using both tracking services they can see on the acars map where each other is and can chat with each other bwforen or after they fly which makes chatting with them even harder.. I'm wondering if kacars and acars could stay a tracking service but eventually turn into a vatsim like area. Where instead of just seeing them from a map you could actually fly with them, and yes I know you could do that on vatsim as well but they may not always connect to vatsim so connecting to the acars Flightsim server would be much more fun, you could chat with each other as you fly no need for making ".msg ovaXX…

Hi again Just setting this up again and came across this issue last night and I'm banging my head to figure out why it's just not working. First sorry if this is been posted before but I been searching for this issue and haven't come across anything. I've been setting up Flight schedules using two different airlines. With the first schedule of flights setup and complete for airline number 1 can be seen in both the flight schedule on the website and within the Kacars program when going to get flight info and bid. Hello I'm the new IT administrator at fsxfleet, we have on previous occasion purchased Kacar is veldtig adapted to us, I we have this week phpvms installed on a new server. I came across a strange problem where announced free version of Kacar function but not pay the version of Kacar. there are some out there who have experienced the same. Dear members, I just joined phpVMS with an airline called Aveiro Express. Its a VFR based VA, so that requires a better position Log by the Acars. We use kAcars but it has the handicap of not having a position, flaps or lights log (mainly position) wich limits the actions and realism of the VA. I also tried FSAcars but i keep having troubles with the connection to the Operations Website.
