Hey Guys, If you have or plan on starting a VA based off of A real world airline, I strongly recommend http://www.theairdb.com/sub/Airlines.html Reason being because it has almost if not every airline in the world on their site. I'm about to start some full on development (perhaps even for phpVMS) with another PHP Framework. Does anybody have a favourite? I don't have much experience with PHP frameworks, the only framework I've ever used is Rails for Ruby. Thanks guys.

Hi, It may sound cool, or not. Here is what I had in mind. For Flight that have been bidded on, and flights that are currently in progress, We should have a feature like Flight Aware. Where we can enter the flight's callsign, dep, or arrival airport and see all the flights. It will show all info about the flight, and have its current location on a google map. I think this would be a killer idea and moudule to incorporate to phpvms. Please let me know if this could be possible.

I'm adding a percentage for monthly expenses - should these be deducted off of the gross revenue, or the total remaining after all expenses, etc have been calculated? I'll have to ask my girl but she's not around (accounting major haha), but maybe some of you have direct experience?

When someone bids on a flight, is that flight only available to them until it is completed? I always thought "bid" was meant as "select" and that any number of people can select it. What's the scoop?

We have numerous flights in our database. The flight numbers are generated by us, but occasionally a pilot may want to fly a trip using an historical timetable. How can he submit a pirep using a flight number that may not be in my database? Is it possible? Thanks!

Dear readers, FlyZen has recently come back from the dead and I have once again begun the development process. Is it possible to have a "new topics since you last visted" button like phpbb and every other forum ive used does? Maybe its the skin your using but for me it makes navigating new posts slower as i have to read more to find what i want lol. Dave

I am debating my-self whether to have a forum or not. I know that running a forum is a lot of work in a virtual airline point of view considering their is a lot more to manage. Would you have a forum in your Virtual Airline why or why not? Does it attract more pilots or is it just extra management for nothing? As I'm not familiar with the inner workings of Invision Power Board, I have a few questions.... Is BBcode available here? If not, can the HTML equivalents be used? I do see the icons for Link, Quote and Code. What I'm wondering about is the use of 'spoiler' and a few other ones I use elsewhere from time to time. The 'spoiler' might make it easier to read some posts as anything behind 'spoiler' would be condensed until a user click the 'spoiler' wording. Or is there a way to easily add more formatting options via a WYSIWYG editor? Thanks for any insight!

I am curious to see what the web designers in the community think about frameworks for web design. I have worked with Bootstrap and the functionality is great, but do you also find many sites have a similar feel when they incorporate bootstrap fully? Hi guys, Just thought I'd post about my open-source project of which I am the head developer and project leader on, ZPanel which is written in PHP and supported on Windows, Linux and UNIX is an opensource alternative to the likes of cPanel and various other control panels. The latest version 6.1.1 is fully tested on Ubuntu 10.04, CentOS 5.2 and FreeBSD 8.2 as well as all versions of Microsoft Windows. Hi all, Does anyone know of anywhere I can host a TS3 server for free I have tried X5 hosting but they did not activate my account. I know why they have not activated the account it is because it is run by 2 people who I have encountered on these very forums and I hosted there TS3 for there VA which all ended and left a very bitter taste in my mouth.
