Everything has been going fine with the VA then yesterday we all started getting this error... An Error Was Encountered Database connection failed (1045: Access denied for user 'fligh10'@'localhost' (using password: YES)) any ideas?

So I have been reading through all of the Build logs and updates. And have a couple of questions. 1. Can you just get the last version or do you need to get all of the in order? 2. What is the best practice to update a site. I downloaded one and see that the install folder is in there. Can the other files just be dropped in the site or do you need to wipe and then install fresh? Thanks

Nabeel, Is there any way of making error messages red and bold, for example when a user registers if for example they fail the human test this text gets lost on the page and its difficult to distinguish, if i can change a setting in the css to make these messages red and bold that would be excellent. Would you happen to know what the style or class is?

Well, hello again, afterall i managed to use fspax, and i configured a new template so my site looks very nice!!! But i still cannot understand how to make the maps pages to work. Both livemap and "view pilots flights on map" canot work, a blank page is shown up. I tried with google, got a "key" (really do not know how to use the code) and now i do not kno where to place it, and with which prefix-code Any help please for the dummy?

I have searched around but could not find anything regarding this. I want the pending pireps to show in an ascending order instead of descending. I want the oldest at the top of the list. Is this possible and if so can you please let me know how to do this. Thank you in advance

Hey there, My VA has three/four separate divisions, and each of them would like their own news category. The thing is, phpVMs does not have an option for this at the moment. I can simply add a column to the database, but can somebody point me in the right direction as to how to edit the admin module to display a drop-down with possible menu categories, and to display news from only one category on certain pages? If all else fails then I could use manual SQL queries but I'd prefer the proper method. Thank you, Kieran

I have an idea that I would love to implement in how our pilots book flights. I basically want them to have to chose a realtime date on which they will fly their booked flights. Ideally I would like to do this as part of the booking process. I know I would probably need to add a field to the existing SQL bids table, but that's about as much as I can work out. If anyone has any idea as to how to go about this, I would be very grateful. Thanks, Stu

I have this in my local config # After how long to mark a pilot inactive, in days Config::Set('PILOT_AUTO_RETIRE', true); Config::Set('PILOT_INACTIVE_TIME', 30); But when i check the pilots list out it doesn't add up! One pilot who last flew in 2009 is active and another who flew 7days ago is inactive, so something needs resetting? Cheers, Dave.

Hey, My Live Map wont show anything from XACARS or FSACARS, I do know that we installed the version 2.0.845 but my webmaster says we installed the update too. Im not sure if we have though, where can I check this? And what do I need to do to get my live map working? Website is www.legend-virtual.co.cc

Currently all e-mails that the system generates has my e-mail address as the "From". I set the Webmaster Email Address in the Site Settings to my HR address but it doesn't work. I'm assuming it is picking the e-mail for user ID #1. I'm guessing this is a bug or do I need to look somewhere else for this setting? Thanks!

Hi, my freind is trying to install phpvms, but it won't find the database. But we have the database in the same server. My ferind and I been kinking out all night why won't phpvms find the databse and recreated the database over a hundred times and redownloaded the files and reinstall everything but it won't still find the database. Do you know whats wrong? One Point for someone who helped us getting it work.

Since FSACARS has started crapping on some of us, I am having them change to XACARS. Everything logs fine except the Aircraft always shows up as an error. I have tried this too, with the same problem. I checked and I have the aircraft entered correct. Does anyone have this problem?

having a problem on the flight briefing page there is a space for notams if i push on a notam i get following error Not Found The requested object does not exist on this server. The link you followed is either outdated, inaccurate, or the server has been instructed not to let you have it. Hi folks, just another question, how to use multiple airlines? I planned to create some different tours, like a European Tour or a World Tour, and I want to limit the flights just for these airlines. So all European-Tour-Flights will be just shown to pilots who are flying for the European-Tour-Airline. The "normal" Airline is called "North Air", so regular all pilots flying for this one, but some pilots will be invented for touring-flights. Hopefully you´ll understand what I´m requesting? Nabeel, I use the Forum Register module to register new accounts on my forum and teamspeak server which works great, what i need to handle now is if a pilot is retired ie inactive then their accounts are also closed on the forum, im not too bothered about the ts server but the forum one is a must. Is there a listener for account inactive / retired that i can use to handle this?

I was wondering if there was anyway to not create the accounts until they are approved on the admin side? I had a couple fake spam accounts get registered today and before I could even delete them the system already created the accounts which makes those pilot ID's unusable. I also have the SMF auto account registration module installed which created the accounts on my forum as well. It would be great if the system wouldn't create anything until I approve them in the admin center. Is this possible? If not, is this doable in an update? Thanks, Keith

Maybe this is a future request. Is there a way to introduce a penalty on hard landings? At our VA, the maximum allowed landing rate is -500f/m. We would need something that will reduce the pilots income on hard landings. Let's say: - between -1f/m and -500f/m 0 penalty - between -501f/m and 550 f/m 50 penalty ............... - more than 800f/m pirep automatically refused.

Hi, When i imported my timetable and the days of weeks is just Sunday Monday Tuesday Wed. Thursday Fridy. having a wierd problem when using xacars all the planes on the acars map show the oposite direction at this moment i am flying a heading off 220 and the map is showing 040 are there other havong this problem. gr joeri
