Hi All! I am in the middle of launching a new VA based in the Ohio Valley, USA. As of now I had fleet, routes/flight schedules, and a lot of other details done. However I am struggling HUGE with the website. VA is fun and hobby, so this is a volunteer position to be the webmaster. Also if you guys know a painter; for the fleet that would be a plus.

This month’s challenge is to forget the FMC, forget looking out the window (other than to enjoy the scenery) and close the GPS and navigate via your aircraft’s instruments by dialing up a VOR and set course towards it & track NDBs. Your welcome to hand fly or use the autopilot to track the radios, but the challenge here is to manually set the radios. Don’t let the GPS or flight planning software run the show. A tutorial on how to navigate VORs is available by clicking the Navigating VORs link via the Training menu on our web site. Starting at Daytona Beach (KDAB), you will navigate down the east coast of Florida making your way to in to the Key’s and landing…

Also quite unique is our typerating system, the maximum rank you can achieve without a typerating is captain, with typeratings you can achieve higher ranks. SilverWings is using a fleet that consist out of different types of aircraft, from small planes as the JS41 or F50 to the big planes as the B…

I would like to formally announce a 'new' virtual airline: Transamericana Aerolinea Virtual ("TAV"). Online for 13 months, we (loosely) approximate a large Latin American commercial carrier (such as TACA/Avianca or Lan Chile) in that our primary service area is in Central and South America, with routes to North America, Europe, and into and across the Pacific. Our core service area includes all three of the world's three highest International Airports serving National Capitals (SLLP is >13000' MSL!) as well as airports on the sides of mountains and at the bottoms of canyons (both types with limited maneuvering space), and remote dirt bush strips in the Amazon Basin -…
