With great pleasure Hellenic Airways Group announces the launch of it`s brand new subsidiary SnowStar Scandinavia Airlines on 1st January 2014. SnowStar is based in Oslo (ENGM) and currently operates a fleet of 4 Airbus aircraft (2 A320 and 2 A319) which have been formerly in operation at Hellenic Airways`s wet lease partners. Currently the only international Destination is Stockholm (ESSA) which is served 2 times daily with A319 aircraft. Besides that Snowstar focuses on connecting norwegian cities. Midway Virtual Airlines is based on the real-world Midway Airlines. There were actually two Midway Airlines, both now defunct. The original Midway operated from 1976-1991 and was based out of Chicago Midway Airport. The second airline, based out of Raleigh-Durham Airport, was in operation from 1993-2003. Currently, Midway Virtual uses routes from the original Midway Airlines, although we use aircraft from both airlines. I'm going to go ahead and start an airline thread to keep airline updates in and get feedback from you guys. In Denmark, our Virtual Airlines has just received letters from Thomas Cook Scandinavian / MyTravel Airways, that we should discontinue our website. We in the association www.flight-simulator.dk has decided to confront the great and expects a lawsuit over the summer of 2011. We have contacted the Danish media to get attention. According to our attorney, we do not violate Danish law. Let me hear from you if you have similar stories or help. What they want us to remove the fleet (add planes), screenshots, call sign "VKG" and not otherwise mention their name on the website.
