The other day I was browsing some of the new and not so new VA's and noticed that at a lot of new "startup" VA's the CEO is doing a lot of flying. So far, nothing out of the ordinary - you'd expect the founder of a CEO to put time in. It is a common phenomena, that if you want to get a VA (or any club, society etc) off the ground, you need a "hard core"... a kind of "critical mass" to get the snowball rolling. Some VA's have the benefit of having a few people that sign up right from the start, or are a result of a merger. Others are not. Now, to get to my idea: why not form a pool of "Flying CEO's": VA-owners who fly for other startup VA's instead of their own? So, i…

scandiFLY VA At first I have to say thank you for all the developers, especially Nabeel, who brings this project forward, it’s an amazing peace of code. For “beginners†not always easy to understand, but I’m a little proud to say, with no experience in php, mysql, css…. It’s done – we are now online. (I know the Forum in and out… ;-) scandiFLY at first is a project, who comes form FSEconomy, where we made since 2009 our first steps. But this wonderful place offers only possibilities to fly as GA- Pilot with smaller aircrafts . Bigger planes as Airbusses, Boeings aren’t in their portfolio. I have to say, that I have a look since over 2 years for phpv…

SkyBlue , Has now opened its doors to the public. SkyBlue CEO Sean Wheelington has announced that flight operations will begin out of the New York Kennedy Airport until a final decision is made for a permanent hub. SkyBlue has a fleet of McDonnell/Douglas MD-88s and Boeing 757-200s that will take our guest abroad. SkyBlue does fly international routes and more aircraft will be added once the company decides on either a variant off the 777 or the A330 , With that said the MD-88 fleet is aging and were purchased at a bargain and will be phased out wit a comparable aircraft in the future. The plan of SkyBlue is growth, realism and fun and remember "Its Nice Up There. We are …

Hawaiian Virtual Airlines | When Your Flying, it's Hawaiian! Hawaiian Virtual Airlines went into operational planning on November 28th, 2013 after being founded by myself, Chase Morgan. Currently, there is no other Hawaiian based virtual airline that is a stand alone community and not part of an entiety such as similes. Following the Hawaiian Virtual Airline's planned launch on January 1st, 2014, myself as well as the rest of the airline administration would like to see the …

Welcome to the new European Gateway! Our brand new website has been designed to look great, be easy to use and make the most of the features of newer browsers, while still working well for our friends the Internet Explorer users (Yes, we still love you. Don't worry). With the new features of the phpVMS system tracking, and the use of existing SimFly systems still available, we feel this can help us cater for a wider range of pilots. We are still working on additional features to the website, including a bespoke Pilot centre and additional Forum modifications. Our current schedules take us within Europe, as well as the East over to Asia, Africa and Oceania. In the near …

Hello there everyone, Let me start off by introducing ourselves. We are Chaz Perkin & Jack Wilkinson, and we are delighted to announce the opening of a new Jet2 virtual airline, known as Virtual EXS or vEXS. The idea to open Virtual EXS was brought up by myself back in June, and we have spent the last three months planning and forming the virtual airline. We have two aims for Virtual EXS. One is to become one of the biggest and most successful Jet2 virtual airlines available in the immense flight simulation & virtual airline community. Our second aim is to replicate Jet2's operations as closely as possible. We don't have a opening date as of yet - we aren't rus…

Hello everyone, I have this strong urge to start my own virtual airline. As of right now, I don't have anything started, but that is for a reason. Before I start, I want to make sure I've got some support and that my time isn't just being wasted. My question is, would anyone here be interested in working with me to start this VA? I would be looking for 1-2 Co-Manager(s), 1-2 Livery Painter(s), and 1-2 Programmers. I also do not want to release any information as of right now on what I do have done, due to copyright issues. Thanks guys/gals, hopefully we can get this show in the air soon. Vlad
