I'm having problems with FS9. I rebooted my PC recently and luckily FS9 survived and all other programs. I was able to restore all my documents too. However, I have since been unable to start FS9. I have looked everywhere and cannot find a solution. I have tried all the solutions on the Microsoft website - none work. I edited some things: I used the SquawkBox SMS generator to generate WOAI models for VATSIM I added a new aircraft, which has since been deleted I editied the FS9.cfg, but I also tried restoring it Any suggestions? I am really struggling and am very annoyed now!

I just noticed that unfortunately my site is very boring and has minimum differences from now and then. This is appliable to many sites that use phpvms. I am thinking of making it more social. Any ideas are greatly appreciated! My ideas are having a forum and chat for now... I was thinking of IRC but then thats too old. And i need something new and fresh that my pilots will like. A quick inquiry to all of your - I'm introducing navdata into phpVMS, for routes, just mainly a cosmetic thing. But it's quite a bit of overhead, to be honest. Here's how I've worked it out - Navigation data - fixes, waypoints, etc are on the API server. On first "use" they'll be retrieved, and stored in your database, though I'll make it available for you to load completely, locally. The reason I did this was because it's over 200,000 rows - about 6mb worth of data. It's also indexed, so that brings it to maybe 12mb size - quite a bit. But again, I'll have the .sql dumps available for download, in case you do want to load all of it locally. It doesn't do anything excep…

Hey guys, Just pondering the thought today and was wondering if (in the future) you were planning on releasing a version that doesn't require FSPassengers/ACARS to file PIREPs? Just a general question.. I think that'd be a nice idea as I know lots of people don't like to use ACARs/Passengers and just like to file the flightplan using a form. Just wonderin'.. I couldn't find this information anywhere, so I will ask here. DO I earn virtual currency when I fly for a VA using phpVMS? Does the VA I fly for earn money when I successfully complete flights? Do the VAs have to pay to maintain FBOs? Do the VAs have to pay for aircraft and the maintenance of those aircraft? If I do earn virtual currency, may I spend this virtual currency on virtual goods? If the answer to the majority of these questions are "yes", an active VA should hire me now, because I have been looking for something like what I think this is for a long time.

One stupid question, Is there a timeout for the live map and flights online ? Because I tested fsacars yesterday with fsx and it crashed... My flight is still shown even if the status is "FSCARS closed". Imagine 50 flights a days, the map would light up like Xmas tree ;D Cheers !

Hey guys, So this is a question for you all/virtual airlines: Discord vs Teamspeak, which one do you prefer using for your virtual airlines, and if you're a member of a VA which does the VA use? Secondly, do you know the pros and cons of each? which do you prefer? And finally, if I was to use teamspeak, how many slots is advised for a small start-up virtual airline? Hi Folks, I was just wondering how many of you are using the live fuel pricing? If you are using it, how do you find it is working out? To date, I have been using a generic fuel price but would like to move to the live pricing. 1. I've been experimenting with spry-based drop down menus. While they work fine, I'd like to set one up so it only appears after the pilot is logged in. What is the best way to do this? 2. Somewhere, I saw a thread where there were several graphics that could be used to advertise phpVMS. I can't recall where I saw it and no keyword I can think of allows me to successfually search for it. Anyone know where it is? 3. Duh, I forgot what 3 is.

Nabeel I have to appauld you on 2 fronts. First for making a wonderful product that has gone beyond what most would consider to be typical. Secondly, because of the first, you are bringing together some of the flight simulation community to actually help each other. Congrats Nabeel.

Hi guys, I'm just wondering what should I purchase (Heathrow scenery). Either the UK2000 Heathrow Xtreme, or the Aerosoft Mega Airport London Heathrow? I'm looking for the most realistic possible. Hey everyone, I think I am going to remove flight legs. Now since you can enter letters into the flight numbers, the leg's are kinda "obsolete", since you can just add it as part of the flight number. Also, FSACARS and FSPAX don't support it, so it's throwing things off with PIREPs and those finance calculations, and other 'future plans' which I have in mind. It just adds another layer of complexity, which is just giving me a big headache, and doesn't really serve a huge purpose (I don't think many of you are using legs) Just giving a heads up. Nabeel

Hey guys... recently I have been asked to make about 4 non FS related websites... Rather than start from scratch I plan on just using a CMS and skinning it. What is your favorite CMS? Pros/Cons Personally I like WordPress, but I am interested in trying new stuff. Anyone use eZ Publish?

Good Evening Captains, I am going to write an article on a magazine about my virtual airline and generally the virtual flights. This will include an article with a presentation of my va and some faq about virtual airlines and flights. This is an aviation magazine but most readers do not know what a virtual flight or even airline is. I want you to suggest me questions in order to use them for the faq. The questions i have already built are: What is a virtual flight, IVAO and VATSIM? What is a virtual airline? What do i need to fly a virtual flight? Obviously i do not need the answers .

I just was looking at a few details on my site and doing some tweaking. I went and vied the details for a schedule and I clicked the links that says Click TO View NOTAMS. It goes to here https://pilotweb.nas.faa.gov/geo/icaoRadius.html?icao_id=KPIT&radius=2 That example is KPIT. BUT no matter what airport I go to, I get Not Found The requested object does not exist on this server. I'm about to start some full on development (perhaps even for phpVMS) with another PHP Framework. Does anybody have a favourite? I don't have much experience with PHP frameworks, the only framework I've ever used is Rails for Ruby. Thanks guys.
