Hello, I am coding a state of the art pilot center that includes custom data to each pilot. Lets say we have 3 different ranks: First Officer, Captain, Senior Captain And we have 3 trainers: John D, Jane D, John DA I am trying to make it so if your rank is First Officer, it will say your trainer is John D. If you rank is Captain your trainer is Jane D. I assume it would be an if statement like if rank= First Officer then show John Doe Obviously I don't know what I am talking about with the code, but I assume it is something like that. Can someone help me out? Thanks!

Hi all Has anyone had any success with this? When I add the .js files into the news .tpl file my "Who's online" map on the home pages goes wrong. I could make a link in the news item to link to a images page, but I'd prefer to include the images within the news item if possible. Cheers! Will

Don't know if anyone noticed that well atleast for me. My site isn't at the top of the list even though my VA's name is completely original. Anyways My question is how do i put meta tags to my website? what file do i edit? index.php? And even though google bot searched my site it misunderstands the text. perhaps its made for html sites not php. I honestly don't know. please help Thanks in advance! Tom,

Hi all, I have added a new profile field to my website called age group. I would like to add it to my pilot list in the admin section. I have tried to modify the pilot_list.tpl in the admin/templates/pilot_list.tpl by putting in age group in the code and removing rank just to see if i could get it to work. Can anyone advise what i need to do. Hello! Does anyone know how I can set the results page to show all schedules no matter what day it flies? My results page loyout shows with a tick when the flight is operated and with a cross what days is not operated, so pilots are allowed to see this but when I search an specific flight which is scheduled for mondays, wednesday and friday, for example, it's not shown on tuesdays and thursdays. How do I fix this function? StatsData::<?php echo PilotSircraftflownCounts($pilot->pilotid); ?> When I type this in, The output is the word "array" I am running phpvms 5.5.2 and TFDIdesign is the host. I do not know nothing about php, java script, I know basic HTML. Can anyone show me the script I need to add to this function to make it work? Thanks.

Hi All, I am trialling using FSPax on our site and have two issues that I was wondering if anyone else had experienced. The first is the display of the pirep on the site after it has been submitted. For some reason there is a "n" in front of each line of text. Usually that is where the time of each event is logged but FSPax doesn't record that information so I assume it has something to do with that. Nonetheless does anyone know how I can remove the "n"? I configured the edit profile with the fields I want, but when you hit the submit button, It brings you to the pilotcenter and it says profile saved, but the profile didn't acctualy save. Can someone help me please, I searched and found similar topics, but they weren't answered. Hello All, FIrst off I know I have been negligent on not updating phpVMS like I should have, but in the here and now, how do I fix this issue. It was hacked and now there is a pop up box with the hacker group and if I dismiss that dialog, then it takes me to the screen with there ad for the group. I have temporarily suspended the site virtualblue.org for security purposes, but how do I get that fixed and how to I update the site. Hopefully this is in the right category....if not my apologies.... I recently have started a project to update our VA and received a request to add a proficiency test and checkflight system. I am not quite sure where to start with this type of add-on. The module should allow pilots to fly the routes within the rank they have, provided they have received the appropriate type rating. In order to get the type rating, they must pass a written exam (currently using ExamCenter) and complete a set of flights dispatched to them with that aircraft(Enter the dispatch system...). Good morning, As usual I am here with another issue, this time update link. On the admin panel site over view tab under the st it reads: "Error: The phpVMS update server could not be contacted. Check to make sure allow_url_fopen is set to ON in your php.ini, or that the cURL module is installed (contact your host). " Well the php ini for this matter is set to ON and I don't know anything about cUrl. I have downloaded it but I don't know where or how to insall it. Or is there another shortcut to this? I'm trying to add KNGP into the airports list so I can make it as a hub but this is what I keep getting I have the scenery loaded in but not sure why it is not finding it. Also when ever I do a flight out of KCRP and go to stop the recording to file the pirep it tells me the aircraft has not landed yet...??? Have not a clue why that is. Has anyone seen this before and is there a solution.. We've had guys do a 21/2 hr flight from KNPA to KCRP only to be unable to file a report and have it recorded. Thanks in advance. Mark

Hi all, i´m confuse regarding the renamed, last night i downloaded the Rev v2.1.935-0-g7303aa0 - security fix, updated to 2.1.935 but in all template folders the files are in .tpl , can tell me please wich is the correct procedure to upgrade the .tpl files to php. Thanks very much for the help.

Sorry guys, but the way the download section is setup, it makes it very hard to work out exactly what version / download I should be using. I read somewhere that its recommended to use the lastest Beta due to bug features, is this correct ? If so, do I update, or install the lastest Beta ? How come none of the .zip files have a revision reference on them ? e.g phpvms_update_rev780.zip ? I have so many zip files now I dont know which is which, and without clear knowledge on what I should be downloading is only making it more and more confusing. I am wanting to get rid of the GOOGLE map that shows up on the flight schedule view page. I want to replace it with the Great Circle Map one. What is the correct code to show the flights' route on GCM instead of GOOGLE? I think that I will need to change the MODULE to be able to remove the GOOGLE map itself, but what code do you place in the public_html/core/templates/schedule_details.tpl?

A virtual airline would like me to help them create a function in phpVMS in which the pilot can only bid from a flight that they had previously arrived from. I'm wondering if such function is possible, or should I suggest just reject flights that don't follow the criteria (that would seem mean, )? Haven't touched phpVMS for a whole summer, so I'm extremely rusty on the matter. Any input would be great, thanks!

Last night Troy and I were testing some flights....I did a 40 minute flight and put in the info in...I entered the time as .40 and it blew the pirep up!! LOL So Troy did one and entered as 0.40 and we are good...Just thought I would share...

Recently found an error come up when I go to the ranks list in the admin center. The error is: So we can't edit ranks. Also ranks are no longer being displayed in the pilots profile and when we accept PIREPS we get the error and Any ideas to fix this?
