I was wondering, where do you find the best place to recruit pilots from? Back in the day we used MSN Zone. For every 20 pilots that registered, 1 would fly regularly. Now days since the demise of eSkyWorld and MSN Zone, it seems the only good place left it the big VAT. I am to the point now of getting ready to start to recruit and was just curious. I have 7 of us now, but all we have been doing is mainly testing. Any and all pointers are appreciated. Ray

Was digging through VA Central and was looking at most of the VA websites that are a member there. I must admit, I was quite impressed by what I saw. VA websites have come a long way since I first started simming WAYYYYYYY back when. All of the sites I saw were great! Makes mine look very very bad. :-[ Maybe one of these days I will be able to afford to have a skin made for me. My skills are so dam weak it is not funny. I can integrate mods and such, just cant skin to save my life. Anyhow, enough of my babbling on and on. Happy Holidays all and keep up the great work on your VA sites. Ray

I'm out of ideas, but the awards I have so far are: 5000 hours 10000 hours 500 pilots 1000 pilots I'm also thinking maybe 75% active rate after a month, and 60% after 2 months. Any other ideas?

I'm ready to take a few more airlines in. Requirements: At least a few PIREPs a day, with ACARS flights Using financials Willing to update to latest betas when it calls for it Other than that, it's pretty hands off and automatic. You just have to add a few lines into your local.config

Wondering if anybody knows how to connect a MYSQL db to VisualBasic? I reseached that you need to download and import a file from mysql.com and I did that but it isnt working... Does anybody know??

Anyone here used VidaHost? They have excellent value for money and support is unbeatable, email responses received within a matter of minutes usually. However, I've had a rough past month. I moved to them from my old host where I was paying more for a bigger package which wasn't really necessary. They offer free migration so I took advantage of that and in less than 24 hours I received an email saying it was done, fantastic. I checked the site, everything was fine - this was before the DNS had been updated however. After the DNS was updated things went wrong. I could not access my site, I was getting blank pages on certain pages that used PHP. Static pages displayed fine…

Good Afternoon/Morning, For a period of time now, I have been thinking about a Virtual Airline Awards System. This is something that I was looking into creating, in a large scale. I am looking for your feedback, and if you think this is worth the time investing. Good Evening Captains, I am going to write an article on a magazine about my virtual airline and generally the virtual flights. This will include an article with a presentation of my va and some faq about virtual airlines and flights. This is an aviation magazine but most readers do not know what a virtual flight or even airline is. I want you to suggest me questions in order to use them for the faq. Ok, Let's start this post off by stating this post is only covering the law in england and wales (UK). This post has come about after an interesting post meeting discussion with my company lawyer regarding virtual airlines copying real world counterparts. Fellas, I am in a world of hurt here. I am taking a class on VB and personally I hate it. I have a project to do that has to do with using constants, functions and sub procedures. It is due by tonight (Tuesday) at 11:59 pm EST If there is anyone at all who knows VB and would not mind helping me out, I would REALLLLLLLY appreciate it. I'm planning to create a Website hosting which in the next few months. Is it hard to run a webhosting. Like i'm providing a 24/7 support, Web Hosting, Resellers, Decatied Servers. Is it hard to run this big hostings? Like if i start out small and i have 10 clients and i have 50 new ones and i create new servers. Which i'm not going to try to cramp the servers. I'm going to keep it the best. Not overloaded or cramped in.

I have had a look for queries about this and couldn't find an answer. Could we have the option of using lbs/kg and $/€? Having frieght weight as lbs but fuel as kg will lead to problems for the beginners going between cargo and pax. I understand lbs better than kg. FS will show the fuel as either lbs or gallons, not seen it in kg or liters yet. I'm just thinking of the new admins like myself who have been caught out with the differences. Nice tool Nabeel, best one out I think.

I noticed something today, and thought I'd come to the forum here and see if anyone else had brought it up and maybe shared a few good laughs with everyone else, but I couldn't find anything. I like the randomly generated Airplane! quotes in the Admin footer. Very clever easter egg I wouldn't have noticed if my Internet connection wouldn't have hit a snag and stuck with the footer in my face.
