Hi, I was wondering how would I add a 'Operates on' combo box to the schedule search, which would list days Monday-Sunday. The results would show flights on the specified day by the user via combo box input. I've made the HTML for it, but not sure where to start with the PHP side of things.

I have a custom module that is in the default form of: http://www.site.com/index.php/module I also have subs to this to make http://www.site.com/index.php/module/one But how can I extend beyond this to something like: http://www.site.com/index.php/module/one/two I tried putting it within an existing function (which is already within the index function of the module) but it directs it to the one before. It's hard to explain.

I am in a bit of a muddle. I am pretty sure I have a db problem. I have tried to run the checkdb, but it just loads blank. Everything else works, the forum, the blog, html files work fine. http://malaysiava.org. Does anyone here know how to fix it? All I did before this happened was edit the app.config file and local.config file, did nothing with the db connection part. I wanted to see if I could get the url rewrite thing working, I uploaded a htaccess file and a custom 404.htm page. It then went blank, so Thought deleting the htaccess file and 404.htm file and reverted back to what I had with the app.config file. All I edited in the local.config file was to add some line…

How can I modify my flight scheduling/booking system (phpVMS standard one) to also search by pilot rank either standalone or as a modifier to dep/dest? The resulting schedule would show those flights for that rank and below. Thanks!

I would like to know, what code would I need to get the percentage of flights done with each recording tool, like kacars,fspax,xacars and manual. The out come would be something like: 80% mACARS 55%xacars 60% fspax 30% manual Those figures are not accurate in the slightest, just used them to illustrate my point. I do not want this to look at just the current months pirep count, but the entire pirep count for the VA

How do you guys handle website development with an active site? Do you have another domain, or sub-domain. Or is running a local server such as easyphp the best way to do that. My site is up and running fine, however I am wanting to develop a wider skin and don't want to risk messing something up at my main site.

I was playing around with acars and after I logged of and shut down xplane using XACARS 20 min later its still showing I'm in a "current flight" Could this be due to a refresh rate and check on Xacars/acars file. I'm still fairly new to acars. KC

Hi, I see that http://greatairways.net/index.php/pireps/viewreport/7977. It every 5 minutes a postion report. It is a default value of FSACARS or it airline develop this option only for their? If it is a default function, What column it use? And How is the content of this column?

Hi, i know there is a few topics about departure boards and such. But well there mostly about where to find one to use or to get one they have paid for working. This does not relate directly to phpvms so if the moderator wants to decline or remove that's cool. Anyway here is problem. I have made a little dep and arr board it works great but the problem is i can only make it read flights that have only 1 day set. So the script look at todays date witch would be 6 then compares that to the database and then shows any flight that has the same day. Then sorts ect. Hi all, I am trying to set up phpVMS on clustered/cloud hosting (however you wish to describe it!) Hello, I've been getting an error for days. I've reinstalled phpvms three times but it still is present. Just after installing it, I try to login and I get this error first: You must be logged in to access this feature! Then when I click login again I can see the admin center, logout, file a new pirep, view my bids ( just as if I normally logged in), etc. But when I click on View pilot center for example I get this error: Error! You are already logged in! I've been searching this forum for days but couldn't find any answer. I checked my database, created new ones, etc and still the same issue. I used firefox chrome, IE, cleared the cache, cookies... Please help R…

Good day all. I have a quick question regarding the custom acars program. Our VA allows for charter flights and we are trying to figure out a way to fly them with acars running. So far all we can fly using our acars is flights that is on the schedule. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can do this? There has been a thread at our VA in the forums and so far all we can do is manually enter the pirep once we are done the flight. All of us would rather file the flight with acars. Hello everyone, Having an issue and I believe Jeff said it must be something to do with PHPVMS' coding. Basically, I have a custom version of kACARS. In the custom version, there is a default login placed there for knowledge purposes (XXX1001 and a default password) - just to show how the pilots must login. Unforuntely, some pilots are just clicking the "login" button with those credentials in there. Somehow, the system is accepting that login! They end up showing on the ACARS map with a blank name and when they file, no PIREP being attached to their true account but rather account ID 901 by default. Ok so I want to install PHPvms on my hosting server at webfaction.com I have to select the use of a custom app listening on a port. The problem is once the site is uploaded to the FTP and linked to my domain I'm not getting anything. I'm assuming its because phpvms is not linking to that port specified for me. Heres what the site tells me when I'm creating the custom app (basically an app that the hosting service dosn't provide) This installer assigns an unprivileged port on which custom software can listen. Hi there, I was wondering if there is a way to add a random flight generator to your va? I know it sounds silly, but whenever someone bids on a flight, you have to re-make it. If anything, is there a way to make the schedule static so when someone bids, it won't go away? Or even better, take the bidding out all togther? Thanks for your time.
