I love this software but I am having a couple of issues I hope someone can assist me with. Primarily, when I try and add an aircraft, I get an error message. I have included the before/after screen shot, although it may be tough to read as I had to shrink it to meet forum posting limits. I went through phpmysql and trashed the name index. I left name_1(I think that's the name of it) alone. Still no luck. And finally, my live map doesn't exist. It is simply empty white space. Any ideas? Thanks. Hi, im trying to list on the pilots page the last date that a pilot flew, i have been playing with the <?php echo PilotData::GetFieldValue($pilot->pilotid, '*********'); ?> but not sure if that can work. Any sugestions please. Thanks

MySQL database for installer

Hi all, I have uploaded the phpVMS files to my site, and set the permissions (IE passed stage one of the installer). However, I am a little confused by stage two - the database stuff. I want to know: 1. How do I create a MySQL database for phpVMS, that will allow me to pass stage two of the installer? What do I need to enter into each of the installer fields? 2. Is ALL the necessary stuff free? Thanks very much.

Hey guys, I know this has been re-hashed over and over and I've tried doing what was recommended to no avail so, I would like to appologize ahead of time for that. The issue that I'm having is apparently the Google API key is invalid (per the prompts im receiving) and or being used by another client. I've attempted to update the key, both manually (through the script) as well as automatically (through the phpVMS Google API option) with the same results. The google map will not load, nor will the list of pilots who are flying so I seriously wonder if it's port related or just Google Maps locking us out. After a quick search I can see that its been looked for by quite a few people but no one seems to have posted a solution, so has anyone succesfully written a bridge that will register a pilot in PHPVMS if they register on the Joomla site? If not I'll have a crack and see what I can come up with.

I am trying out ACARS for a EGLL-KMIA flight, however its been 15 minutes and I am not sure how acurate it is. Because while I was taxiing it said I was taking off, thats not a huge concern however it says that I am over the welsh border but alot more north than I am, I am infact exactly on my flight path at this time, and it says that I am crusing about 1 minute after I took off, and I was climbing to FL250. There are loads of other things but I am not really sure why it is so inacurate, I was expecting for it to be precise pretty much, some of the info its telling me, I don't know how its come up with that.

Running the latest beta, are flight operated using XACARS supposed to show up on the live map? I've had a pilot try, and there is no luck...it isn't appearing on the VAcentral map either, so I don't think it is site related. James

For some reason, when I look at the flight schedules, it doesn't show all of the ones it should. For instance, if I select a departure airport on mine, only one flight comes up. But in the Admin menu and in the database there are several for that airport. They are enabled and everything looks fine for the database, but for some reason, they are not listing properly?!? Also, I just noticed when I search by "arrival airport", it brings up flights that don't match the airport requested. Bruce

Okay as i see a lot of posts with people saying that nothing works anymore, I write a little hint how to prevent that in future. I by myself use a tool called xampp ( http://www.apachefriends.org/de/xampp.html ). Xampp is a local http server which allows you to install a copy of phpvms directly on your computer and open it in your internet explorer/mozilla/... It takes like 5 minutes to configure and install everything. What i do before i change something on my "live" website in the internet is to download all the files on my computer, import the current database into the xampp phpmyadmin mysql database and try it out there. I am trying to get a template to display in the side bar. But all I get is the name of the template being displayed. If I change the name of the template to one of the existing ones that sidebar shows up. (sidebar_aircraft.tpl - will display the aircraft template in the side bar) public function HTMLHead() { $this->set('sidebar', 'sidebar_events.tpl'); } This is at the being of the module. Hi all, although the setup is made as shown in videos, fro fspax,xacars and fsacars, flights cannot be exported using any of the clients. We prefer to use fspax, so we give our efforts there, and the error message is: phpVMS/FSPAX ACARS Teca Virtual Airline/Nikos Trikas selected 3 total flight, 1 flights marked as not exported. Ready to export... -Exporting of 1 Flights started: -Error, unable to export flight number 3 ->Error - The departure or arrival airports are blank 1 flights could not be exported. Ok people, i am unable to install phpvms on our server. I have read the forums and i have redownloaded,reuploaded and changed the apropriate permissions 4 times now. I get the same error everytime i access the install.php file : "The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request. Hi Nabeel, After the released update i have the following glitches, In the admin section if you edit the airports the pop-up wont disappear Admin section Flights today remains at 0 (on the front page this works OK) Finances, additional finances are not displayed in the chart its just pilot pay and fuel.(tried a reset finances but that done nothing) Cheers.

I just caught someone rummaging around in my /phpvms/lib directory. One can assume someone wanted the code from one of my templates. Does anyone know of a way to prevent access to the directories without hampering the operation of the site? As for the person who did it, he or she was probably unaware that I log every access to the site and have their IP address, country, browser and system information. If that kind of activity continues, I will gladly publish it all over the internet.

Hi just wanted to ask if there is any quicker way of inserting the fleet, instead of having to type out the ICAO, Aircraft Name and Full Name etc for VA's that replicate real airlines and need to add every registration in service I have over 300 registrations to insert and need a quicker method any suggestions Also with schedules I dont really need departure times or flight numbers as I am a Cargo airline, will there been any updates to remove these options for Cargo VA's? Hello guys, I got a new template for my va and it has a image slider on the top (using javescript). It works fine in html coding but when i switch it to .tpl coding, the slider does not work. Hi guys, more issue, today I uploaded some jps of ranks to the lib/ranks file no issue. a while later I need to go and check the site and add the ranks but all I got was a blank page. http://5starvirtualaviation.com/phpvms/'>http://5starvirtualaviation.com/phpvms/ I have checked with my host provider and there is no issues with the server and php is running ok, but I cannot get to login. OK, so I just got my site opened, but pilots are saying that there is a lot wrong with the schedules. First of all, I'm getting the No Route Passed error that I can't find the answer to on here. Secondly, when I click View Details on the schedule, the white background doesn't seem to cover the whole page. I tried using clear:both but couldn't remember where to put it. That's all I can remember at the moment.

Hi, I have tried to upload a schedule from a CSV file using the "Import Schedules" button (see attached file) and have created 1 B737-800 using phpvms and the spelling is all the same as in the CSV file and when I import it it comes up with the message " the aircraft B737-800. does not exist" Please help as my VA is now live.
