Dear fellow phpvms users and developers, As I already have an established VA and was previously using vAPN as the VA suite, I am now using phpvms and am extremely happy with your product. My VA is designed in Joomla CMS with phpvms access via a menu item that is only visble to registered users. But I would like to show the Pilot Roster to the public, meaning I need to show the roster on its own for the public to see. Is there a way I can use the Pilot Roster page solely as a .php so I can wrap it inside Joomla ? The other idea I had was to make a second core_navigation menu and only display the pilots link, but I can't see a way of having two core_navigation menu's. …

I recently installed phpvms 5.5.2 and get the following cronjob error. Any help would be welcome. Hi, When I accept/reject a pirep it takes literally ages to accept. I watch the database it changes straight away but the website is just so slow. This all started after we had to restore the database back a day after one of my staff accidentally deleted it while working on it (Don't ask). I've tried so many things to fix it Database defrag etc... The Server is really powerful 4 Xeon E5 v4 Cores and 8GB RAM. Running on Windows Server 2019 IIS and MySQL from XAMPP. Not sure where to go next, Have surfed this forum for hours and i cant see anyone thats had a similar issue.

Hello, In my virtual airline'm using a separate system PHPVMS to the evaluation and admission of new crew. (And a kind of training center) I would like to leave the PHPVMS the registration page restricted to staff. After the pilot is approved in the proof of the training center, a staff makes the registration manually in PHPVMS.

Gents, I have been aware you can add an airline to phpvms. But beside just adding a new airline code, how do you assign a separate rank structure and awards structure. What does adding an airline mean and what can I do with it, basically is my question. I see no separate identity accept pilot ID? We run a Air Force VA wish to add Navy. Different structure. How do I separate the two. There is no instruction in the document vault.

Hello guys. I wonder how does for modules work out the skin folder? I created an area reserved for pilots in phpvms the root folder, but the modules do not work there. Any suggestion? For example, the flight booking module Codeshare, shows no shedule that page, while the skin is. Thanks!

This morning, as I was adding airports, IE claimed an error on a page as I tried to do an ICAO lookup. Message: Object expected Line: 6 Char: 1 Code: 0 URI: http://www.fspirep.us//phpvms/admin/action.php/operations/addairport since I made no changes, and it worked yesterday, can I assume this is a problem of wherever it is looking for the data?

The average fuel burn on a 737 is 2,000 - 2,500 kg per hour. Then how does this make sense: I believe FSAcars is exporting the fuel calculations to phpVMS as pounds, not kilograms. In fact, I am positive. Is there away to add in a conversion or change this somehow? Due to this, we are spending almost twice as much money on fuel as we should be. Thanks!

I guess the application is US-centric but as it so happens it can be used all over the world. I managed to enter my airports of both standard scenery (ICAO code available) as well add-ons (no icao code or with ICAO but not in FS). So I proceeded to make the schedules based on the real life airline and found these issues: a) The flight duration (there is a text field for that) can be calculated from the departure/arrival times The Departure/Arrival times assume a HH:MM TZ format but many countries not far from the US don't even have time zones. Perhaps it should also allow Z (Zulu) and in the Airport details it should let the user enter the UTC offset. c) The Price…

Just installed phpVMS on a test site before i launch my new VA, but my acars map is blank... http://test.frontierva.org/index.php/acars i tried a reinstall of vms and its still not working. I looked all over the forums and couldnt find a solution as well.. Mark

just one thing we noticed in my VA. Sometimes it can take 12 hours for an admin to authorise a Pirep on my VA, no major drama;s But, if a pilot flies from A to B, and the pirep is not yet validated by Admin, the aircraft still shows available to others at A Is there are way to lock out any aircraft pending pireps, until authorised, to stop duplicate use?

Hello all, Little issue here... If I create a custom profile textarea field, no matter what new members write in it, it only keeps the first 24 characters in their profile. So I can't read what they wrote, except for the first 24 characters... Any idea? Thanks!

Hi all, I'm currently going through a stage of trying to move our Mass Emails over from the local hosting to a dedicated system designed for mass email marketing as my VA has gone over 100 active pilots and our hosting keeps shutting our email system down whenever we mass email due to 'spam protection' I've spent hours on the forums and I've updated the Local config php as well as other associated files to enter the SMTP/Auth/User data, tries TLS, SSL etc and have had no luck. I've even correctly set up the DNS and MX records (and reverted the MX Records for further testing) MailGun seems to make mention of an API requirement however it doesn't seem to be m…

Hi all again! Since i have no idea how to implement phpVMS into my site, i was wondering can someone help me with original FsACARS scripts, as they are easiest for me to install on site. Please pardon me guys as I know this has been brought up before, but my search is revealing nothing. I have some pages that I would like only a specific group to be able to see. How is this possible to do? I want to make it so only my group ATC can view the ATC training materials and such. And obviously due to security and such, Admin should be able to see these pages as well. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance either way. Ray

Hi there, I was wondering to what extent would it be possible to implement online and offline flying statistics? Basically, I'd like to log a type of flight, whether it was online or offline, so then we can display a count on pilot's profile i.e Online/Offline = 5/2. I'm not sure however what are the current possibilities of the system to implement this; whether kACARS can detect it, or whether some addon would make it possible... Any ideas?

Here's the problem: use the tool random flights until there all ok. after the pilot generate the scale, how to restrict flights by day operation. Well, if I am using a drop down menu how to arrange that within the core_navigation.tpl ? For example I may have a link to the pilot center droping down from "operations" but how do I show that only to logged in people? And also the logout and admin, where do I put my links for those in the core navigation as they also drop down from "operations"? many thanks, roboa

Hello, I just flew my first flight with FSAcars and it reported a landing rate in the log but on the PIREP page it has a landing rate of 0. Any ideas on how to get that to show up correctly? Running latest beta. Thanks!
