Hey guys, i'm currently creating a new community site for virtual airline staff and pilots. Of course it will also be open to any Flightsim enthusiast who likes to join. The main purpose is that virtual airlines find any possible information centered on one site plus give pilots who look for a VA a place where they can easily browse through VAs from all over the world. Secondly it also gives people who offer services for VAs the chance to advertise on one place thus making it easier for VA CEOs to find these services. I plan to expand that community in the future by listening to the whishes of the community members. since this forum here is mainly for phpvms Support i …

So I was thinking, seeing as phpVMS is hosted on github, we could get around the whole downloading a zip, uploading, etc etc etc. How easy would it be to set up a "stable" branch of phpVMS on github, which the updater can pull a zip of and install itself? (Also if it's not that easy, having a "stable" branch alone would be super handy as the master is not always error-free, and there aren't any historic downloads in the downloads tab on github )

I would like to know is there a way to block proxy sites from web servers? As I have a guy that keeps trying to register, and is using a proxy, as I have IP blocked him from the server, yet he keeps registering, and with a different IP each time.

Like the updated look! I'd guess it includes an update of the forum software too - and better security. Thanks to David and the rest of the team for all you do! I about had a heart attack the other day when the forums were down. I'm in the middle of an upgrade to 5.5.2 from 2.x and will probably be in need of assistance shortly. One issue I had with the old forum which continues into this one - on my Android tablet the forum redirects to: br-update.com/u/4182 . IIRC, someone else has reported this issue also. Hi, i have doubt about the fuel cost, in phpvms default cost is: Config::Set('FUEL_DEFAULT_PRICE', '0.35'); I find in iata this: Then are 1.545 USD per Gal 1gal = 8.34 lbs Then 1.545USD/8.34lbs = 0,185USD per lb. Im right? How you calculate the fuel price and ticket price?

Is anyone else using IPBoard, like the one here. I am having trouble with the latest post on my main site. Their SSI is really bad. The other option is to use their IP Content module. I don't want to spend another $50, for IP COntent. Doeas someone have a script to show the latest post from my board to display on my main page?

Can someone help me with the IPS flight board, and it's not the phpVMS version but the stand alone I guess it is called. I am trying to code the LiveBoard.txt file and have no idea how to begin. I am trying to get it to work with phpVMS, and I know it's IPS and that's why I posted in the Off-Topic area. And help would be appreciated!

Anyone here used VidaHost? They have excellent value for money and support is unbeatable, email responses received within a matter of minutes usually. However, I've had a rough past month. I moved to them from my old host where I was paying more for a bigger package which wasn't really necessary. They offer free migration so I took advantage of that and in less than 24 hours I received an email saying it was done, fantastic. I checked the site, everything was fine - this was before the DNS had been updated however. After the DNS was updated things went wrong. I could not access my site, I was getting blank pages on certain pages that used PHP. Static pages displayed fine…

I logged into cPanel the other day and noticed there was the option to change theme that wasn't there before. So, naturally curious, I tried it, only for it to result in this: Invalid license Main IP Address: 37.26.106.4 CPanel Version: 11.44.1.15 RVskin Version: Note: Server administrator can run perl /root/rvadmin/convert_theme.pl to switch users to other skin such as X skin while waiting for the resolution. - This happens every time I try to access it now.

Hey all. I have been simming online for years but refused to ever fly at VATSIM. Well, I have had a change of heart and as we speak, I am logged on to VATSIM monitoring radio COMS. Anyone have any friendly advice for a Vatsim virgin? Are charts mandatory to fly there? I know how to use SIDS and STARS so it is no biggie, was mainly curious. Any advice I can get I would love it. I would hate to log on and get banned my first flight for doing something wrong. I have heard time and time again about how picky they are there. Thanks Ray

Id like to use teamspeak3 as the privacy policy isn't that great for Discord but as my service provider only provides dynamic IP address i'm a little stuck with my choice. I've been looking around the code in app.config.php and spotted this. Config::Set('DAYS_COMPACT', array('Su', 'M', 'T', 'W', 'Th', 'F', 'S', 'Su')); Config::Set('DAYS_LONG', array('Sunday', 'Monday', 'Tuesday', 'Wednesday', 'Thursday', 'Friday', 'Saturday', 'Sunday' ) ); I know as much about PHP as I know about quantum mechanics, so I am curious as to why Sunday/Su is in the array twice. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Hi, I am now at the point where I would like to create a repaint for my VA. For which I would like to use Photoreal to get a good fleet. My question is does anyone know where I might find a step by step guide to creating a repaint. Or know someone who would do it for me.? Here is a repaint I done which for a first attempt I thought was ok. It took me around 5 hours to produce this and I know it is not great, hence the reason for the request.
