Helllo, When I am on the admin list with pilots and want to sort them with the "Status" I do click it and every pilot disappears, but when I do click any of the other ones, they appear again! - EMil

Our VA has just hit the 90 day mark since we started with phpVMS and we primarily use smartCARS. Therefore some of our pilots are starting to get their status changed automatically as we wanted. They receive an email like this -- Hi John Doe, You have been marked as retired because you have been inactive for more than 90 days. To be un-retired, you must file a PIREP. Thanks, VA Management Team. My question is about them being told they have been marked as retired, however, when I look at their status in phpVMS Admin Center they are all showing up as On Leave status. The only choices for status in the Admin Center are; Active, Inactive, On Leave and Banned. I was …

Recently some jack wagon "accidentally" deleted our whole lib folder. Well we were able to recover most of the items in the lib folder, the only item that is not working correctly is the pilot badge. some problems with the pilot badge are: it doesn't update, it wont "reset" and change the backround, and there are some missing for the pilots that have joined today...if there is any ways that this can be fixed please help, all help will be appreciated. Hello everyone I am attempting to change the font size on the pilot badge and no matter what I do in the local config file, the font size4 will not change. The funny part is, I can alter every toher setting with success but no matter what I do, the font size will not change. Anyone else ran in to this and found a fix? I attempted to change font on other phpvms installs the same way and with success each time. I am baffled. Any help is appreciated.

Hello, After a very frustrating server migration our bids no longer work. While we can make the bid in the Module "Tour Center", and the Big Check mark appears telling us the bid has been made, looking at the pilot record say "You have not bid on any flights". A quick check of the database clearly shows the bid has been made. So obviously something broke during the migration. I have re installed all the modules and bits of Tour Center with no improvement. Equally obvious is that the connection to the database is working. The result of all of this is that the flight is not available in kaCARS although pilots can gain access by loading the flight by flight number,…

Hi guys, im thinking of doing a pilot bonus scheme, Example Good landing would attract a bonus Exceeding the flight envelope would attract a fine Out of this i have 2 questions, How easy would this be to integrate in to phpvms and, Acars (which ever type supports this) would need to report on a defined parameter say flight envelope where you could define these settings. As i type i see already this could become very complex, food for thought with this i think but i would like to offer something that the pilots can spend their cash on or whats the point of cash would go back to points in the logbooks

Hi , I have searched the forum but cant seem to find anything on this. I would like to be able to give abonus payment to pilots for their landing rate and if they complete a long haul flight online. Has anyone any idea how I would do this. Would a module have to be created or could I change a bit of coding somewhere. Thanks in advance

Hi All, Is it possible to include Pax/Cargo data from the Pilot Brief page in the PIREP that is recorded on the database? The data is stored in variables. As an example, a flight has 200 POB as generated using a formula, and stored in a variable. I'm wondering if you can put this into the database and present it on the PIREP page for the specific flight. Thanks, Hayden.

OK, I am getting ready to prepare for an actual VA inaugural flight and so I chose a flight and came to the pilot briefing form. These are my observations: NOTAMs: I get some invalid security cert. from the supposed FAA site. Anyway, perhaps it would also be nice if one could have a link to a virtual NOTAM to complement a real life one. Sometimes flying organizations have their own airport NOTAMs. Charts. The links for the arrival and departure charts actually points to www.airnav.com to search charts there. Hello, I am coding a state of the art pilot center that includes custom data to each pilot. Lets say we have 3 different ranks: First Officer, Captain, Senior Captain And we have 3 trainers: John D, Jane D, John DA I am trying to make it so if your rank is First Officer, it will say your trainer is John D. If you rank is Captain your trainer is Jane D. I assume it would be an if statement like if rank= First Officer then show John Doe Obviously I don't know what I am talking about with the code, but I assume it is something like that. I have searched for the answer I seek and am coming up empty handed. I am curious if it is possible for the pilot center to recognize a pilots Airline of choice and output that info to their pilot center. Say for example, I open up Wild Animals Airline and their callsign is Wild then I go and add another airline and Call it Wild Express and their callsign is Casper (for lack of anything better). Now If Pilot A registers for the airline Wild Express, then when he or she views the pilot center it would give them their airline name and call sign with all their profile info up to by rank hours flown etc etc. Possible to do?

I was looking to add a section on the pilots_list.tpl with an Active/ Inactive icon. I wanted this to be automatic and therefore wondered if there was a code that I could use to change these images. The check would be to ensure that the pilot has filed a PiREP within the last 31 Days. Cheers, Jack.

Ok - I'm Stumped... ??? I have added the pilot country flags to show next to the pilots name in the recent pilots list. It works fine on most of the pages of the site but on some pages the image does not show, just a place holder.
