My current VA policy is very lax. I only have one aircraft registration per type for all schedules of that type. However, as I am recreating my VA, I'm leaning more towards a realistic schedule approach. One aircraft per schedule rotation, etc. However, I've never done anything like this before. My question is to the VA owners that have done things like this. Could you provide me with any tips on how to start this? I'm sure I'm making this harder than it probably is and am over thinking this. Anyways, any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have recently noticed through reviewing posts that it seems many issues have risen. It is sad to see the forums (virtual airline discussion in particular) turn into a mud pit of hatred. I feel like many comments are just driven because someone has an axe to grind. It especially offends me to see that when someone posts one news announcement it turn into a fighting match between others for something totally off topic. I am writing this today to urge all members to stop bashful comments. If you have a problem with someone please don't post it for the world to see. Some say they do it to expose the fraud but is it worth it, all it does is start huge backlash. Please, a…

A flight network that will change the way we look at flight simulation... That's our ultimate goal, and we have already made progress in making this happen! Open Flight is an idea that came to mind after long and hard thought, plenty of mind-maps and more hard thinking. I wanted to begin something new for a very long time. I looked into starting a Virtual Airline, but I just realised I'd be stuck at the bottom of a chain of new VA's waiting to step up their game and become something big. It was time to think outside the box. I began looking at the current problems we face in flight simulation, such as the vast amount of software and networks we are required to be apart …

Hello there, I am just about to start a european low-cost virtual airline that I've been working on with my friend who painted the fleet for about a month or two. However, our sponsor has turned out, claiming that he's simply not interested anymore. So we're a flying double now. My question is mainly how to attract people onto management opportunities such as PMDG instructors, marketing or HR directors. And is there any possibility of finding solid crew before the airline opens up? The trouble is, we want to make the best impression out there, and as we know, first impressions last, so quite frankly, we're not ready to open up yet. Besides, we don't know anyone from our …

Hello, I am on the brink of putting my new va to the public. Link: www.citylink-va.com. The purpose of this VA, is not to connect the the larger airports. So some kind of Bushpiloting in Western Europe, as far as you can find a bush ;-) And it is not even my idea to use the more standard planes that are being used by the most VA's. There for I am thinking small, like the Cessna Caravan, Beech 1900 Maybe an ATR. Even though this is my idea, I am also planning to have flights, done with B737 or A320, to more well known airports. Considering the home base (ehbk/mst/maastricht Aachen airport) with a 8000 feet runway, the maximum plane I could use there would be a B752. …

On 7 July 2012, Virgin Australia requested that we take our website down. The reason for this was due to a HR error. As such we have had to re-request permission from Virgin Australia to use their copyrighted name and logo. We are confident that permission will be re-granted and hope that we can get this situation resolved as soon as possible. We would like to apologize for this and hope that you will be patient. For further updates please visit our Facebook page; www.facebook.com/virginaustraliava Since we all run a Virtual airlines we are subject to this. So in a way I guess we are all subject to some kind of copy wright infringement. …

G'day all, In the last few weeks, Reach Airways has transitioned to a new, custom created website which adds not only a new look but new features such as a full events system, two-click flight bidding, multi-layered and enhanced feature crew centre and much more besides. Information on the site itself is now more readily available with airline monthly statistics, detailed fleet stats, etc also available for viewing. Our forums have also been reskinned to better match our new website and whilst forum accounts as yet are not linked to website accounts, we are working towards linking the two together to provide a seamless transition for pilots. Fly American Virtual is your one-stop-shop for American and One World partner routes. We allow our pilots to fly ANY ROUTE in our schedules, ANY AIRCRAFT in our fleet, at ANYTIME! We don’t require pilots to pass a test, or build hours to fly our aircraft. Fly American Virtual is the only virtual American Airlines that allows pilots to fly all aircraft types from day one. With fAVA, you'll never have a problem not finding the route you want to fly. If a schedule you want to fly is not available, or you want to fly a totally different route, you can create your own charter flight using our ACARS-integrated "create-a-flight" feature. We don't go off rejecting PIREPS …
