Hi there everyone new to the forums so sorry if i posted in the wrong area, i have created my own skin and put all the bits of code that phpvms needs to use the template everything seems to work fine other than the Parallax twitter scroll and slider and logo, i believe this is a javascript issue but not to sure, ill go through what ive done so far, so i have added one bit of java file at a time to see if there was conflict everything seemed fine so put them back together, made sure the code was correct and file locations and they all are, so im at a bit of a dead end not to sure where to go now, the lower parallax image is there but not the one near the top of the page, a…

Hey all, I have been working on learning how to skin vms and I got one working so far. I am going to town on it every day. BUT I have an issue on my ACRS map. Look up at the links on the map on the upper right. I am thinking it is css related. I have tweaked and prodded and poked everything an no such luck. Any ideas? I can't really link to the site since it is on my local host server. I would need to leave it run on my pc all night.

I recently wanted to change my background because my last one was plain grey. This time, I want a blue/white gradient with a small shadow on the actual page, as you'll see on my site (click my signature). I have already tried got this: body { margin-top: 50px; padding: 0; background: url(http://www.freshjetvirtual.com/lib/skins/premiumseries/images/freshjet_bg.png); text-align: justify; font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 12px; color: #000000; } But you'll see that on my site, it repeats itself vertically (repeat-x), but it's not in the code. I basically want a shadow around the top and sides of the page against the blue/white gradient.

1. When selecting view pirep the following error is shown and a blank page. Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{' in ..../httpdocs/lib/skins/ocean_blue/pirep_viewreport.php on line 108 2. How do you set schedules availability to pilots last location and by aircraft for their rank. I found code in schedule_results.php but cannot figure out the settings. Pilots are restricted to Aircraft type by rank. 3. On mobile/phone cannot see online pilots ether in map or status. Any one have fixes.?

How to change, and where in which file, position of login screen and position of bid flights page, pireps page, finances and so on...(h3 i think)...I have changed site so i can put iframe in it, with those pages inside...i was able to change first page (home) and i think map, but others i cant find where to change...soon as i reinstall this all i will try to fix that...

OK, i have the beta version and nabeel changed the skin settings to a newer one like he made a layout.tpl and i have the 2.0 skin with header and footer and i didn't want to lose my old skin. and i decided that i update the 2.0 skin that i made into 2.1 skin that i made and i checked the codes and it's is right and it's not working on my site. If someone could help me out to see what's wrong or what i missed, i will provide you the skin file. I can provide the 2.0 skin and I'll provide 2.1 too. I would be happy if someone could help me.

After some hard work, I am almost finished with my new site design. Two things, though, are holding me back. (Don't worry about the home image, it will be changed.) 1. Color. Initially, the template had a black/gray background, so I changed it to blue in photoshop. Does it look too purple? 2. On custom pages, how do I center the title (highlighted text shown in the photo)? Also, does anybody have a FSPassengers "button" I can put under my partners?

First I wanted to congratulate the tutorial by Nabeel...great job. Ok, so on my frontpage I have a column for each thing like new pilots, pirep and news, now the news is setup to only show the first few sentences of the story then I have a read more link...what I want to do is limit the number of characters that are shown, then I want the full story to be in another file. I'm guessing I'll need to edit the news_newsitem.tpl file to only show x amount of letters and what not then make a new .tpl file to have the full story in. So, here is my question, how do I limit the characters..like the php..I'm a php n00b.. How do I echo the link to the full story..I'm guessing each news story has an id in the database..? Php is so confusing...sor…

He there This maybe a pretty silly question, but where can i add a Menu Button ? I just installed PHPVMS and trying to figure things out - sure, this'll take a while and i'm more than willing to learn, but for now i'd just like to add a new Button in the Main Menu So, within the default style i got Home/Pilots/Pilot Center/Live Map/Admin Center/log out I'd like to link the new Button to let's say the Schedule ? And, is there any "Tutorial" out there on how to create your on style ? Appreciate any help . Thanks in advance

I am so amazed that as a complete newbie, I was able to finally pick this up so fast (with a little help from Jeff). Makes me hopeful for when I start going back to school this fall for web development and database management. Anyways, I'm looking for a little feedback and what I have come up with so far. I know the header image looks funky on the left, I'm still tweaking that part, but so far I like it, at least. So everyone knows, this is a highly edited/tweaked version of Aer.I still have some more eye candy to get set up on the front page, but I think I'm getting somewhere finally...

Hi all, I have downloaded and installed a copy of ObsessBlue skin. I have started to edit it for my needs. I have been able to do most things however I have created a page which I have linked to from a small menu right at the top of the page. The page is also linked from the main nav bar. I was wondering if anyone knows how to have this page but not linked from the main nav bar. I have looked through the php code and cannot work it out. I can usually work things like this out but this one has stumped me. I have tried setting it not public and this works if you are not signed in however I don't want it to be on the nav bar even if you are logged in or not. Thanks for yo…
