[sOLVED] Hello everyone. I am pretty much brand new to PHVMS and I like it so far, here is my dillema. Can I list my Newest Pilots by date instead of their number? My current pilot list jumps around quite a bit and instead of listing the newest pilots it is listing the last two pilot ID's.

I was wondering where the .tpl files are for the latest flights and pilots hired. I know it is somewhere in the core/template area but I couldn't find it. Can you please tell me the name of the file or attach one on here so I can get the code. Using the Brilliance template at http://www.alaskaairvirtual.com

HiThis news fuction is show the last 5 news as default, and I know we can change this.But all this news who not shows in the frontpage, is it possible to get this in a "news archive" and where are can I find this "old" news?

I have been trying for weeks now how to figure out how to make each flight create a new news topic for each completed flight or each time a pirep has been submitted for instance. Completed Flight WEF501 - John Doe just completed their flight from KSFO to KATL If anyone has any ideas please post back Sincerely, Vince

Hey there, My VA has three/four separate divisions, and each of them would like their own news category. The thing is, phpVMs does not have an option for this at the moment. I can simply add a column to the database, but can somebody point me in the right direction as to how to edit the admin module to display a drop-down with possible menu categories, and to display news from only one category on certain pages? If all else fails then I could use manual SQL queries but I'd prefer the proper method. Thank you, Kieran

I don't know how or what caused this, the news items are no longer showing up, http://globalaircargovirtual.org check for yourself, i tried to install the examcenter pluggin and thought that it might have had something to do with it, but obviously not, as i have removed the links to see if it was the links causing the problem. Logged on to my site as admin and go to the news > Add news link Receive this message and I cannot enter text in the editor. The link seems to be http://www.fsnb.ca/Airline/admin/index.php/sitecms/addnews but I do not have a sitecms directory and the only thing under addnews is an image file which is in the lib. Any help appreciated Can’t reach this page Make sure the web address //ieframe.dll/dnserrordiagoff.htm# is correct Search for this site on Bing Refresh the page must have been a cache problem on my PC . News works fine on my iPad sorry for the false alarm.

Sorry if this has been brought up before and I have searched and searched most of the day and have came up empty handed on every attempt. I need to know if there is a sql query I can run in phpmyadmin to make the News titles a bit longer. Now it chops words off right in the middle. I think it has something to do with vchar or something like that. Anyone show me the way? Thanks in advance either way. Ray

Hi. I was creating a news post for my VA and noticed that title is truncated when saved. Looks like it is limited to 30 characters. The thing is that the title field on /admin/index.php/sitecms/editnews?id=xx is not limited to 30 characters. Another improvement I'd suggest to this page is the ability to unpublish an entry (checkbox) without having to delete it. Thank you!

Hi all. I was wondering if a news item could have its own view/page? For instance: va-domain.com/news/1, va-domain.com/news/322, etc What for? Have the possiblity to show more content, have each news item marked as "Like" on Facebook or shared on other social networks, etc.

Gentlemen, I have searched for this error, but have not seen the same issue that I am having. One of my pilots filed a manual PIREP and when he did so the PIREP jumped from #65 to #133. I reset the PIREP numbers in the database, however every-time someone submits a PIREP it jumps again. Where is the PIREP count number saved? I did build www.citylink-va.com for my own va, and use a paid version of kacars on it. The free version works as well. VLMVA.com did ask my help to build a website and implement some kind of acars. The website functions, but kacars free, ccftracker are not working at all. In CCFTracker I get the error: Login error - The Connection to the VA Site has timed out!!. I got from Free kAcars about the same issue. I know that I did install the website part of the site, and I wonder what the issue is. It is not the login, as that works on the site itself. Hello- So I have been an admin and web developer for my VA for years now. I tried to login over the past few days and every time I click Admin or go to the admin center I get the error "Error was occured. Please log in first" I tried logging out and re-logging in with no luck. Went into the database and I am showing as part of group 1 - Administrators. I had the only other admin login and he said I show I am part of the admin group in my profile. Not sure what happened...any ideas? I was editing routes a few days ago and I went in to do more editing and it seems like the admin center wont let me in anymore. Any suggestions to the fix would be helpful so I can get som…

Hi all, I have been using phpVMS for some time now, but on a new installation, the last page of the installer is blank except for the phpVMS logo and header (no "Thank you for installing, click here to go to admin panel, etcetc"), and the link to the admin panel does not appear when logged in. Ubuntu 12.04, PHP 5.3. CURL is installed. Am I missing something? Josh

Hey guys, I've looked through all the guides and previous topics on this particular error but couldn't come up with a fix. I'm looking for someone to send me their phpvms_groupmembers table as mine is completely blank (hence the no admin access) If anyone can do that I would appreciate it greatly! Thanks, Maxwell PS. I have created my VA but I am having many issues. phpMyAdmin version which I use is 3.5.2.2 .... The problem is that whenever I login with my Pilot ID and password, I never see the Admin panel. It is as if I have logged in as a normal user. I have checked the database but couldn't spot anything strange. Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks, Rahul

I making a dev phpvms on a sub-domain. When I install phpvms, I get no admin. The user I registered with on the install only has basic permission. When I manually go to admin through the browser I get the Unauthorized access error. Any ideas? I have this installed on a separate DB and user.

Gudday I am a new user and had problems with adding pilots & airports. I have just upgraded to the latest version, the new pilots is now working but not the airports. Everything seems OK and the airport added is confirmed but nothing is added to the database. The previous pilots problem was similar in that the pilot added was confirmed and the emails were sent out but nothing was added to the database. Cheers Mike

Hello, I just updated to phpVMS version 934 (I think, whatever the latest full version is) and in general settings, there is no field for the Google API Key, so none of the google maps screns are seen anymore. Is there a way to fix this or manually enter it into one of the php files or something? Thanks! -- Cory
