Hi, I am a hospital social worker and have a patient who is retired from flying secondary to a medical condition. It is uncertain if he will be cleared to fly at a later date. He has been flying for 40 years (commercial and in the National Guard) and the thought of not flying is understandably very depressing. He does not have children, only a sibling who lives out of state but he does have some close friends locally...very limited social support. Are you aware of support groups that might be appropriate for him? Thank you for your time. Laura

Hello, I am trying to restrict the aircraft that can be flown by a pilot by their ranks. I have selected the rank they have to be in the fleet list area of the admin panel. I have also added the line of code to the local.config.php to restrict it and set it to true and it still doesn't restrict pilots to fly certain aircraft. I am using Front Schedules put out by lorathon, and I tried adding the restriction code that is in the schedules_result.tpl, but that didn't work. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Cory

When setting up pilot group to give them certain access to the admin area, how do I restrict access to the SimPilot and all Add On module(s)? There is not an option in the Group Permissions area when editing the groups! Thanks!

Question for all the PHP guru's out there. I'm looking to restrict content based on days since the pilot was hired. Something like after "X" amount of days certain content will automatically show up in the pilot center. My whole idea is to make pilots wait to get certain perks, add-on liveries, etc. without them having access to it on day one then leaving the VA. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. It would be nice to be able to specify -on an item by item basis rather than as a whole- whether a download is public (anonymous & authenticated users) or just members only. It is not enough to just hide the link because anybody that knows the system can place a hot link to the item even if it does not appear listed on the public area.

Hello, I am getting my routesystem together. But slowly I am also thinking about adding some bigger planes, and bigger airports. Yet I know, that you need a special permit to fly to London City, or Innsbruck or Lugano (They have steeper arrivals or the ILS is not in line with the runway). Suppose I have an ATR on some routes including the above once. Yet I do not put a trip from Maastricht to Amsterdam not equal to a trip from Maastricht to Lugano. In that case I would like to restrict these 3 routes to if you have a higher rank. How can I accomplish this? Restrict them to an airplane? I was thinking to put the trip to Lugano on a smaller aircraft.

Hello, In my virtual airline'm using a separate system PHPVMS to the evaluation and admission of new crew. (And a kind of training center) I would like to leave the PHPVMS the registration page restricted to staff. After the pilot is approved in the proof of the training center, a staff makes the registration manually in PHPVMS.

Hello friends. I have a basic problem, I'm willing to block for some aircraft rating. but some pilots still reserving flights with the aircraft and also blocked release, Example. In AdminCenter put the A320 into a Commander rating, but the co-pilot can book a flight and system releases. Hi, I have a seperate homepage (As found on these forums, adjusting the Frontpage module) but I now want to restrict access certain pages to only logged in members i.e don't want pilots public profiels or pireps accessible to 'outsiders'. How would I do this? Thanks, Graham

Hello, I would like to set up my airline so that whenever a pilot files a PIREP, they will only see the airplanes that they are qualified to fly. Is there a way I could restrict the pull down menu for aircraft in the PIREP screen, so that they would see aircraft for their rank and possibly flight hours? In other words if a pilot is a New Hire, with 0 hours they only see a Cessna in the PIREP menu. Once they have 40 hours they would also see a Baron in the pull down menu. I did a forum search and only found mention of restricting aircraft by editing a flight.... Alan J

there is the possibility of placing restrictions also for aerodromes? The system we use actually compares the ranking of the pilot to the ranking of the aircraft when generating the schedule. This allow us to limit pilots with lower rankings to fly only one type of aircraft and a few aircrafts have a higher ranking to be used only on international flights. But we are trying now to edit the system, so it can compare the pilot ranking + aircraft ranking + airport ranking. This will allow us to have much more options when defining the rankings, limiting airports with dangerous operations such as SBRJ only to pilots with higher rankings. Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew anything about retaining PIREPs of the pilots who end up getting removed. It kind of stinks having to delete pilots who have flown more than 10 flights for you, because you lose all that flight data. I know that when things are changed on the aircraft side (ie aircraft get assigned to different scheduled routes) the flight still shows in the system, but just leaves out the aircraft type/tail number. Is it possible to make this happen with the pilots? The flights stay, but the pilots name does not show up? Thanks!

Where is the code located that updates a pilots status when "retired" Two issues. 1. When a pilot is inactive it is getting set as "on Leave" 3 in the database. Should be set as "inactive" 1 in the database. 2. Where are the definitions located for retired status currently 0 = Active 1 = Inactive 2 = Locked 3 = On Leave Thanks hope every is staying healthy

is there a way to reuse deleted pilot id lets say pilot 15 (TAY0015) is deleted new pilot regestration normaly the next pilot id wil be used (TAY0030). now my questions is there a way to reuse the TAY0015 becouse i have a few pilots that don't fly and i want to delete them but the pilot id counter keeps getting higher is there a code to let it check for an number not in use. gr joeri
