Any way that i can let my users select what aircraft to fly? Or is it only an option of kAcars custom?

Quick Question about the "Select Aircraft" option - i now adjusted the ranks and fleet - so with my rank now i can only fly the Dash and not the T7. T7 flights don't show up in the schedule - so far so good, but when starting Kacars i'm able to select any aircraft i want ? Is there something i can do about that ?

I had this idea long ago but forgot about it. , the talk of kacars made me think of it again. How difficult would it be to design and option where Admin's could send messages to pilots during flight (threw Kacars of course)? This is good for bush operations as it would be a cool way to dispatch flights. What do you think?

I tried to solve this using the threads that discuss it here, but nothing I try seems to work. I cannot login with kACARS. I get the Switch error and in the lower right it says CONNECTION ERROR! The URL is http://www.ozarkva.net and it is on a VPS that I rent. There may be some php settings to change, but I have no idea what they would be. I have .NET 4.0 installed and kACARS versions match. I am running kACARS as administrator. What have I missed?

Were were talking on our forum and were wondering how does kACARS determine the landing rate? At touchdown the rate becomes zero, so is the rate determined at the moment of contact? One second prior? Two seconds? Is it an average of the last few seconds? And take off speed. Is it the IAS at the moment of liftoff? Just curious how these parameters are determined.

A few days ago I used v1.0.0.8 and was able to retrieve the flight bid I had made, then I flew my inaugural flight. I now have 1.0.0.9 installed and on my VA site I made a bid for a flight. I have configured (and selected) this VA profile (my only profile). I am also able to log in to my VA ("Logged In" green label). However, when I press the "Get Flight Number Info" It gives me a red label "No Flight Info Found" pressing it subsequently leaves the user with the same red label, not knowing whether it is an old message or doing something :-( If I enter the flight number (complete) in the textbox then it is able to retrieve. Hi there, I have a user that cannot connect to our site with kACARS V1.0.0.8. We have checked the following: he use the correct base url: http://www.uvsaaf.fsworld.co.za/ He have the correct Username AND Password He use Win 7 ,and he set his program compatibility to Win Xp SP3 AND run as Administrator Firewall AND antivirus turned off I could connect with my kACARS using his username and password. Hi all, After installing the latest release of phpvms, Version 2.1.946, I got this error message in kACARS: Call to undefined function iconv() ... (see attatchment). I'm using php version 5.2.9 before update of phpvms following was used in kACARS_Free.php: $rec_xml = trim(utf8_encode(file_get_contents('php://input'))); after update following was used in kACARS_Free.php: $rec_xml = trim(iconv($encoding, "UTF-8", $postText)); Anybody else having this problem? I fixed it by reinserting the line from an older kACARS_Free.php, $rec_xml = trim(utf8_encode(file_get_contents('php://input'))); /BR Benny

As do a few airlines, we use alphanumeric callsigns on our flights. This is an extra column in the schedules. What I need to do is let kACARS incorporate this. I can already get phpVMS to output the callsign to kACARS so that it is displayed in the flight number box but it does not show on the ACARS map, or in PIREPs. Doing it in my head gets quite complicated as all I'm trying to do is replace the flight number with the callsign throughout the code, but still using the flight number variable. Has anyone else done this or know how?

Hi all, New issue for me with kACARS. I have a guy doing his first flight for our new airline and he has just said kACARs won't let him file the Pirep both using the button or manually. He said he gets an error message saying schedule does not exist. I have correctly configured my VA profile in the latest kACARS FRee client. I have also selected that profile (my only profile) but when I click on the Login button I get "Not Logged in" in red. I have used the same username/password combination on the website and I can login without problems but somehow the client fails.

Hi, My VA has also a small cargo division which carries illegal stuff . Because of this we can't have sceduled cargo flights... I'd like to know if the "Load" section when charter selected can reccognize weight instead of pax number. Cheers,

Hello I need my URL base changed from .net to a com. At the minute when pilots install the application it installs as .net, is there anyway for it to install as .com for the URL base? Regards

I have an option at my VA to fly on-demand charters. To do this, I understand the airports must be on our list and the aircraft type listed as well. When I select "charter flights" it wants an aircraft registration (among other things). However, I cannot enter a registration in this block. In fact, it almost seems as though kACARS is locked up somehow. Any ideas?

Hello everyone, i tried to start an IFR flight. I fill out the flight number and i pressed the Get Flight Number Info button. Unfortunately when i pressed the Start Flight it gives me this error: Check Flight Level 1k to 50k. Also when i am clicking on the Get Flight Number Info, i received another one error which is this: Notify System Administrator of the Switch Error Data not received Switch=Aicraft. I anyone knows the solution...please help me.

Hi all, I have been helping a friend set up Kacars free. He is not PHPvms nor is he free hosting. I put the module in the directory and filled out the relevant info but cannot connect at all. Does it have to be a PHPvms websit. I have looke arround the forum but cant find anything. The web address is www.jet2virtual.com Any suggestions. I have also put in a php.ini file but it goes ove rmy head. THanks in advance

Okay, so I have just recently started my VA and when I logged in to kACARS it did not work so I downloaded 0.8 version and it worked fine then I got an error about not being able to log in! So i downloaded the current version that log in problem doesnt happen anymore but now I get a connection error, i also get this error
