Hello all, Although I'm a fluent php/mysql/css coder, I'm ashamed to say that I don't know the first thing about MD5 and general encryption. I'm a little confused as to how this works... When I generate an MD5 hash using PHP, the generated hash is different to that stored in the database? Why is this? Also, if anybody has time, could they please explain what a 'salt' is... Hi all, Recently in my va (http://www.euroscotva.co.uk), a new member joined and has flown around 5 flights, contributing 20 hours 35. According to my second officer pay rate of 7.30 his pay should equal = 148.55 roughly (20.35*7.3). Although, I checked his profile and it showed £20,533? I went and changed this back to the correct original pay through the database although is there an explanation for this? Hope someone can help! Cheers

The schedule "calculate distance" thing in the admin section does not seem to auto calculate. I still have things set to "0" for auto calculate, but not working. So all my flights show a distance of "0 mi". What have I missed??

Helllo all, Ive recently come accross phpVMS and I think it might be of great benefit to the VA that I belong to. In order to integrate it, though, I need to know a few things. I'd be very grateful if anybody could help. (I am a fully proficient php/mysql coder) 1. Regarding Pilot inactivity. Is there some sort of way to suspend users if they are inactive for a certain period of time? 2. Regarding the site structure. I notice that regitsration is located at index.php/registration. Hi everyone first and foremost hello as this is my first post here. I have recently discovered phpvms and am looking forward to start using it properly. I have been trying it to install it but haven't been able to complete it yet because I'm having some trouble understanding the installation steps. Here's what I've done so far: - uploaded the phpvms.full.zip to my home directory - extracted it using cPanel with the folder structure as it is in the file - wrote the permissions as explained in the installation step Now I'm a bit confused on how to proceed with the installation. Hi there, I am wondering if anyone can help me. For starters my VA's site is www.zoomvirtual.co.cc I have set up the FSACARS with the google API key, and i just done a test flight and it didnt work on the map. I put the key in the phpVMS admin panel, general setting part, i can see the map. I downloaded my CONFIG file from the pilots profile page, i just dont know where to put it, i put it in FSACARS root folder although when i started it, it didnt respond, i now have a fresh download of FSACARS. When entering schedules, I don't really understand why it's necessary to enter the flight time? Is there a way for the system to calculate this for you; because adding all these schedules is taking forever (editing csv only makes it slightly quicker) Regards, PAL0001

I apologize if I am recreating a topic but could not find any information in regards to missing hours. I signed on this morning and I have numerous emails from our user stating missing hours. I checked and sure enought half of my roster shows no hours but pireps and everything are there. I have one guy with 335 flight and 0 hours but if you to look at his pireps they are all there and approved. Any help would be great!. Thanks

We cannot log in, was working ok and now - every time you enter the login info and password it just loops back to login screen, no error message. Strange thing is that you can make a flight logging in with smartCARS. I created a charter and flew it, the data was showing on vaCentral and when the PIREP was filed. VA central showed the flight. Checked the DB and the flight was there also. Just cannot login either as a pilot or Admin. UPDATE: ISP had done an update on the server. They had to do a restore of the complete server to correct the issue.

I think I had this problem long ago, but don't remember what cured it. The drop down menu for the departure airport disappears after selecting the airline and if the airline is deselected, the list of airports is incomplete. The arrival airports are fine. Any Ideas?

Hello, I will get right into it - I downloaded and installed phpVMS earlier today, and everything seemed to go fine. That is, until the installation was complete, and I went to go log into the administration area. I noticed that when I went to login, or click on any link for that fact (with the exception of the home page link), I was taken to an error page.
