I think it would be really cool to get postcards from phpVMS users - I can post them up on the site. I know there's a worldwide user base, it'd be cool to see it, though It can be from your country or your town or whatever. I'll make a giant mural and post them online! This project is coming up on 5 years almost! Anyone interested? I'll post an address to send them to!

As i am thinking of continueing the further development of APVacars i would like to know if there are airlines that use it and also what kind of features you would like in further version. Also i would like to let you know that until version 1.0.0.6 APVacars will remain opensource and that after this version it will be a closed exe with free usage.

Hey guys, So this is a question for you all/virtual airlines: Discord vs Teamspeak, which one do you prefer using for your virtual airlines, and if you're a member of a VA which does the VA use? Secondly, do you know the pros and cons of each? which do you prefer? And finally, if I was to use teamspeak, how many slots is advised for a small start-up virtual airline? I've made the build scripts public: https://github.com/n.../phpvms_navdata There is a rudimentary README file. But yeah, fork it, download it. It has to be run on the command line. If you point the db.php to your phpVMS install, it'll populate there.

So I am messing with some code to bring it up to snuff with php 7 needs. I have pretty :much got it all good to go but 1 line. Hi All, I was looking for a chat platform for our virtual airline. Id like to use teamspeak3 as the privacy policy isn't that great for Discord but as my service provider only provides dynamic IP address i'm a little stuck with my choice. Has anyone had the same issue as me and been able to get around it? any help welcome

6-23-17 I have seen phpVMS go through many different phases in what is nearly 10 years since I stumbled across it. Nabeel has been able to create the defacto application for people that want to start or run a virtual airline and keeping it free and open source deserves nothing but appreciation for Nabeel. I as many others have benefited from his work, both financially and not. I apologize to all those that were/are affected by my absence for quite some time both here on the forum and at SimpilotGroup. Just thinking out loud here - With the announcement that SimPIlot is closing down his site and http://www.simpilotgroup.com/ ...................... What becomes of VA Central, version 3 of phpVMS and this support forum? It was my understanding that SimPilot was involved in keeping all of this functioning. I do see that Nabeel is working on version 4 of phpVMS. Who will be responsible for VA Central and this sites web hosting after SimPilot closes? I see the front page no longer shows anything about version 3 and appears to have reverted back to the original page (prior to version 3 announcement).

Hello fellas! Hope the skies are blue and the winds are fair! Have not had much of an opportunity to get on lately and do any web work or flying for that matter. I hope to change that soon as soon as I get the college schedule worked out and in action. Hey guy, I'm looking for a backup script I can run as a cron job that will backup, compress, and the email me my databases nightly. I had a script several years ago that did just that but I don't have it anymore and my googling magic is not strong on this one. My host backups my site daily but I want the added protection of my databases being backed up off site from the host. Any help would be great. Thanks!

I am trying to learn the basic's of CodeIgniter and keep having pretty much the same error on any of the tutorials. I have tried the Static Pages and the News tutorial and I a getting the same error? So a competitor has came out with a system much like phpVMS in it's own kind of new way. They claim they are superior to phpVMS because phpVMS is all full of bugs. Here is my take on it. 1. I love their software has a bootstrap template. 2. They have some awesome features that are integrated in or being worked on that others here are charging for. 3. It is actively being developed. Their cons: 1. No one is developing templates for it or modules. 2. It has a few bugs it self. Not even going to lie. 3. Their support forum is .... Well, meh. Great if you speak Spanish. As I'm not familiar with the inner workings of Invision Power Board, I have a few questions.... Is BBcode available here? If not, can the HTML equivalents be used? I do see the icons for Link, Quote and Code. What I'm wondering about is the use of 'spoiler' and a few other ones I use elsewhere from time to time. The 'spoiler' might make it easier to read some posts as anything behind 'spoiler' would be condensed until a user click the 'spoiler' wording. Or is there a way to easily add more formatting options via a WYSIWYG editor? Thanks for any insight!

Like the updated look! I'd guess it includes an update of the forum software too - and better security. Thanks to David and the rest of the team for all you do! I about had a heart attack the other day when the forums were down. I'm in the middle of an upgrade to 5.5.2 from 2.x and will probably be in need of assistance shortly. One issue I had with the old forum which continues into this one - on my Android tablet the forum redirects to: br-update.com/u/4182 . IIRC, someone else has reported this issue also.
