Folks I have an issue here I need a hand with. I have aquired a laptop that I really did not want anything to do with. Long story short, the kid had it and it had Windows Xp on it. Not sure what or how he did it, but he installed Ubuntu. Not sure what version. Then he decided he hated Ubuntu and did a fdisk and deleted every single partition. Now the laptop will not do anything. When it boots it goes directly to error: no such partition Grub Rescue> the only command that will work is ls when typing that it shows (hd0) and then goes back to Grub Rescue> the other command that works is set and when trying that it says prefix=(hd0,1)/boot/grub root=hd0,1 grub …

Hi all, Does anyone know of anywhere I can host a TS3 server for free I have tried X5 hosting but they did not activate my account. I know why they have not activated the account it is because it is run by 2 people who I have encountered on these very forums and I hosted there TS3 for there VA which all ended and left a very bitter taste in my mouth. Any way all that being said, does anyone know anywhere else I may be able to get hosting? Scott

Hello, After 2 years of running a virtual airline, the staff and I have decided to close it. However, we wish to start a new project which will offer services to virtual airlines. Something like websites such as va-list.com, vacentral.net. We are trying to think of a new unique service to offer to the virtual airline community. One idea was a Virtual Airline Magazine, would anyone here be interested? Or do you have any other ideas of what you would liked to be offered? I'm Looking forward to your suggestions and replies. I just noticed that unfortunately my site is very boring and has minimum differences from now and then. This is appliable to many sites that use phpvms. I am thinking of making it more social. Any ideas are greatly appreciated! My ideas are having a forum and chat for now... I was thinking of IRC but then thats too old. And i need something new and fresh that my pilots will like. Hi everyone, I want to set up Google Translator in my site (http://www.airargentinavirtual.com.ar/) but I have this problem: I placed the translation bar in the home page, when I choose the laguage to translate the page, it works precfetly but when I click in a link the new page appears in spanish (Default language). How can I set Google Translator to translate the whole site?. Thank you.

As we know, there are several spammers lurking in the community who will do everything to ruin the work put into creating phpVMS sites. I thought it'd be useful to create a blacklist, where we can post the details of the pilots who are spammers or suspected to be. Go ahead - lets hope this cuts down the number of spam attacks. I've got about 300 on my forum... currently looking for the two I recently deleted.

Hey guysm I was wondering to make real airline virtual but to make it far away as possible for example: Monarch Airlines, Wanted to make a virtual, called it MCH Virtual and has used fs pictures of the aircrafts and no logos. Had no word of monarch in my va but had the same schedules and fleet.. If i were to do this, and had no permission, Would i be allowed to do something like this?? Please give me your thought..

Hi, i just thought of a good idea maybe to bring in to phpvms at some time.. there are a few pilots out there who fly with fspassanger and they can end up with emergency and stuff like that.. i think that if this happens there should be somethink in the sytem that allows you to land at a closer airport as long as you declare a mayday . and still be able to file the flight as it will say in the pireps that you declared a mayday?? and thought on this i think it would be great and it saves pilots having to land and start the flight again ??

With the help of my new flights ops director, we have finalised the rework to our fleet. Now though, we need to have the aircraft repainted, and my skills are definitely lacking in this area. This is beyond ridiculous! It's disgusting that nobody can create anything around here without some fool claiming its been stolen! You have no rights over an idea! People here need to understand that seeing as we're all here to do the same thing, we're probably going to end up doing the same things! Hello. I have spent a while searching for a JavaScript code to remember what a user has clicked on in their last visit on the internet for what I am looking for what I need but I cant find it. So I was wondering if anyone here has ever came across such a code online before? To make things a little clearer, what I am looking for is a JavaScript code that will save information on a cookie about what link a user has clicked on in their last visit and keep redirecting them to that link everytime they visit the page. I started advertising for positions with my VA last week, and I've had a steady trickle of applications for those positions so far. One thing I've noticed from most of these applicants is that they seem to be more after the staff jobs, purely because of the status of staff jobs, and aren't really interested in helping running a VA. Some even seem to be not interested in taking advantage of the flights and everything else that the VA offers. It's a shame really, because the positions available offer up the chance for those who take them to have a real say in how the VA develops. On our home page I switched to FS Pilot Shop Advertising. Problem is that the ads are bigger than the square they're supposed to fit in. Hi all, Just letting everyone know I might be on hiatus for a bit - I've just got too much stuff going on at once in my personal and professional life, and it's now too much for me to keep up. As for the last beta, there are some things still broken, I will try to get those fixed as soon as I can. I didn't just want to run out without a heads up. Thanks for understanding I'm not completely disappearing, I just won't be on as often as I have been.
