Due to some... bad decisions... I made when starting phpVMS, template files are pretty much plain-text. Even though I've posted instructions, and included in the default install instructions on how to add the .htaccess, there's still ways of getting someone's template files. This is causing all sorts of problems with theft. So what I'm thinking of doing are two things: Renaming all template files from. tpl to .php - this allows for the PHP code to be hidden Adding a code-check to make sure phpVMS is calling the template, and if not, nothing shows This will be a backwards incompatible change, but I feel like it's worth it. Hi Guys, I'm having an issue with the Live Map not refreshing when the Pilot has completed their flight it just sits there with the status of arrived at the gate until I go into the Admin and reset the Acars Map, Up to the point of arrival the map refreshes itself like it should updating the aircraft position, Any ideas how I can fix this ? So, I've hit on an unusual issue that has occurred as a result of having to rebuild my VA. My hosts 123REG, made a major stuff up and deleted a load of servers including ours. We've rebuilt it from a backup image but we've got a few odd things going on now. First and most important is that our pireps are now not recording anything in the "log" field of the pireps table in the database. I wondered if it could be to do with Smartcars but that is recording the details just fine and I've checked their scripts and they are all good and as they should be. Hi all Our new website for Air Southwest Virtual is now well underway with this excellent VA management system, for which I am very grateful as it has saved me hours of coding to date. However, we are currently testing the PIREP system, and I've found that it asks for the time to be entered as hours.minutes, for example 1.3 would be 1 hour 30 mins, but on the pilot centre page it says I have 2.85 hours left until reaching our next rank. Not sure you can have .8 of an hour if you follow the rule above, as it would be 80 mins, so technically I have 2 hours 85 mins left. Is this the correct action? Whenever you go to my website, or navigate to any other page on the website, I get an error "This web site needs a different Google Maps API key. A new key can be generated at http://code.google.com/apis/maps/." I've generated an API Key and put it in the website settings and the notification still comes up.

Hiya, Before I carry let me apologise, I really do not know how to do any coding stuff etc for my VA. I am quite happy doing the admin side of things like adding flightplans, aircraft and all the other stuff that needs doing but actually coding stuff into the website is not my cup of tea! OK, I'm encountering a new error: pilots cannot submit flights. This time both in IE and FF.I'm getting the message "The flight code and number you entered is not a valid route!" When I click on Current Flights, or try to create the recent Flights Map, I get the following error: Notice: The template file "/home/xxxxxxxxxxx/public_html//core/templates/acarsmap.php.tpl" doesn't exist in/home/xxxxxxx/public_html/core/classes/TemplateSet.class.php on line 248 Looks like it is trying to call both the .php and the .tpl files at the same time. Ciao Nabeel, i'm on 815 now. Yesterday I imported some new flight plans and now the recalculate airport distance does not work. For example i created the schedule for LIRF - EFRO /house of Santa Claus eheh) for Xmas awards and the distance is 15 nm.... sounds strange Also happened for LIRF - YSSY, Hong Kong, Beijing and others. Had to enter manually in each single flight plan to recalculated automatically with the button. Second thing, regarding the award. We've created this fly-in, i've setup the award with the badge, i gave the correct url to the badge but it does not show up. It shoes only the description in the pilots page as you can see from the images. BTW…

Hi guys I am new to this and an amature php developer. It more of a hobby. Please bear with me. I have just set up phpvms and it's working great. The only thing is that when I try adding a route in the admin area the route is not there. Tried up loading it via csv file and the same, it does not appear in the routes. A similar thing happens with the pirep. It says the server has received the pirep but I can't see it in the admin panel. I am running it on localhost As i wanna get it all working befor I make it live. Hi i created a skin about 3 years ago for my va this has since folded after some consideration we are building a new va i dont have any of the old files left but i cant for the life of me remember exactly which line of code that has to be removed to stop pages being added to the navbar. I need help with Pilot Id's in PHPVMS. I want the pilot ids to be in the following format 10000 10001 10002 ..........And soo on... I have tried by changing the pilot id's manualy and keeping the Config::Set('PILOTID_LENGTH', 4); # Length of the Pilot ID "4" but than the new member gets 1002 instead of 10002 when i do it to Config::Set('PILOTID_LENGTH', 5); # Length of the Pilot ID "5" it gives 01002 instead of 10002 So can you guys help me please ? Hello; I currently have a virtual airline called "Pan American Virtual" on the web located at http://www.panamericanva.com. Currently we use VAFS as our management and acars system and wanted to add PHPVMS to our site. On the hosting server, inside the ftp account I use, the public_htm folder, has all the files for our website. I followed the instructions to install PHPVMS. Got all the initial install done. How would it be possible to pull information such as an airline name, total pilots, pending pilots, number of schedules, number of flights, all this information into a web page from a public web address such as http://www.mywebsite.com/core/airlinestats.php ? somthin another like that because you cant pull the information from the codon config since the local config is encoded and it uses that to get the information is it possible ?
