Ok all you sql gurus, I have an issue I need a hand with. First off, I must confess how much I SUCK at sql statements and trying to debug errors. This one is throwing errors. You probably see it but I don't. Have any clues? if so I should am all ears and willing to listen/read. I been banging my head on this part of the night. $sql = "SELECT username, user_id, user_posts, user_avatar, user_avatar_type, user_allowavatar FROM " . USERS_TABLE . " WHERE user_id <> " . ANONYMOUS . " ORDER BY user_posts DESC LIMIT " . $portal_config['md_total_poster']; if( !($result = $db->sql_query($sql)) ) { message_die(GENERAL_ERROR, 'Could not query users', '', __LINE__, __FIL…

On our home page I switched to FS Pilot Shop Advertising. Problem is that the ads are bigger than the square they're supposed to fit in. I changed the size in the url: <a href="http://www.fspilotshop.com/index.php?ref=307&affiliate_banner_id=6" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.fspilotshop.com/affiliate_show_banner.php?ref=307&affiliate_banner_id=6" border="0" alt="300 x 250 Rotation 1"></a> I changed the 300 x 250 to 150 x 125, but the banner size didn't change. Any ideas?

I cannot access the SB forums, so I'll do it here. I was recently forced to do a system restore last Saturday and have since been getting FS9 back up to scratch. I've had FS9 for years and had lots of tweaks, but that's all gone. FS9 itself survived as well as Addon Scenery, Aircraft etc, but I had FS problems, so I had to make a new FS9.cfg. So, first of all, I got SB4 again, which I previously used for months without any problems. My first problem was when I tried to connect, there were no server lists. That was fixed by a reinstall. Now, I can connect, but I can see no aircraft. I have searched the SB forums but can't find a working solution. I do not have Norton or …

This is beyond ridiculous! It's disgusting that nobody can create anything around here without some fool claiming its been stolen! You have no rights over an idea! People here need to understand that seeing as we're all here to do the same thing, we're probably going to end up doing the same things! In addition to that, HTML and CSS are designed to be written in a certain way, and that way only. To create a valid HTML table, for example, you need certain tags in a certain order. Two people who are inevitably pursuing the same idea will no doubt end up writing the same code, if they write valid code. It's driving innocent people, who are bringing creativity and product…

This was in the news when I woke up this morning and is quite interesting. It would appear Mr.Stelios is planning the launch of his own airline in competition to Easyjet. Fastjet it's called and the website says coming soon: www.fastjet.com Read it here: http://news.sky.com/home/business/article/16077489 Good luck to anyone asking permission to start a virtual airline under that name!

So I was thinking, seeing as phpVMS is hosted on github, we could get around the whole downloading a zip, uploading, etc etc etc. How easy would it be to set up a "stable" branch of phpVMS on github, which the updater can pull a zip of and install itself? (Also if it's not that easy, having a "stable" branch alone would be super handy as the master is not always error-free, and there aren't any historic downloads in the downloads tab on github )

Dear Friends, I have just read and signed the online petition: "Letter of Support for Microsoft's Flight Simulator Franchise" hosted on the web by PetitionOnline.com, the free online petition service, at: http://www.PetitionOnline.com/MSFS/ I personally agree with what this petition says, and I think you might agree, too. If you can spare a moment, please take a look, and consider signing yourself.

Hello everyone, First I must say thank you Nabeel for great software. As the title states, I'm moving our VA to PHPVMS from VAFS but before I start the project I have a couple questions. 1. Currently in VAFS my pilots have already earned some v$. Would there be a way I could manually add that money to their account? 2. I'm assuming hours can be transferred as well? 2. I'm mainly waiting for v2 to be released because it has the features we need. It is OK to start working on skinnings, routes, etc on the beta version? I'm mean will it transfer over OK when v2 comes out? Thanks!

Hello, Sorry if I make this claim, but found no answers or tutorial somewhere I turn to companies that have a Team Speak server or 2 or 3 equals ... My question is: Some of you know how to create a TeamSpeak Server as its own drivers? How to Fly EasyJet VA or Ireland or other VA ... Thanks in advance and sorry for the question!

Id like to use teamspeak3 as the privacy policy isn't that great for Discord but as my service provider only provides dynamic IP address i'm a little stuck with my choice. Hi,I've tested the latest build, and I have following remarks/problems:ADMIN CENTER- add airlines -> options: no entries show up in the box- add schedules: lay-out is still not clear at my pc- add flight schedules: an extra notes field should be handy. Customizable fields as the pirep fields even more!- add flight schedules: distance calculator could be handy, this site is easy and appropriate for it: http://www8.landings.com/cgi-bin/nph-dist_apt?pass=83851578&airport1=EBBR&airport2=UUDD&waypoints=&airspeed=&endurance=&display=map&trackwidth=10 (Where the icao codes in bold should every time be changed by the system, just a button next to th…

Okay this is going mostly to Nabeel but also to all the others, providing this project with new addons.. Id like to thank everybody for what they did and for what will come.. When i started my virtual airline Pan American Airways, i had to decide what to use. It took me some days to figure out, that there arent lot of such systems. Finally i had the choice between vabase and phpvms. Now I was one of those guys who thought that payware is always better and so i bought vabase. This was a big mistake because they dont have a good support and everything has to be customized and it would take weeks to get it even running in a decent way. Then i tried out phpvms which was t…

For phpVMS in general and getting the site back online. I hadn't been online in a few days and when I saw the error when trying to access the pphpvms.net site and the forums, I immediately was worried that it might not come back at all for some reason. I would just like to know as a community how we should or can help with phpVMS being around for a long time and the site too? I know some people come and go (with flight simulation in general) as thing's change in life, me being one of them, but like the fact that I have FSX or X-Plane ready to reload at any time, and enjoy very much phpVMS and would like to see it around for a very long time. If I knew anything worth whi…

On behalf of everyone on the management team at Australian Frontier Virtual Airways I would like to say thank you to everyone who was involved in the development and testing of phpVMS for making such a great system. I would also like to also say thank you to everyone who has helped us in the troubles we encounter. In 2008 we were founded running VAFS until we went broke. We lost everything, members, our website and relationships. Many members though we were gone. In January this year we started to test phpVMS and gave it the go ahead. Some people thought we would not survive a month, but now we have 20+ members, tonnes of events and lots of fun flying. Still got a lot …

Hello everyone Hopefully a few of you will remember who I am. I'm James and I disappeared from these forums a few months back just before releasing Fs-Magazine.com with another member. Anyway's I'm glad to see that phpVMS is still going strong and I love the new forum layout! I am thinking of creating a brand new project over the coming months and I wanted it to be a free service that could be provided to Virtual Airlines using phpVMS. For those of you who may have remembered Fs-Magazine launching, you would probably already know that it was far off from a success and is now in the process of being shut down by the original creator I believe. After a few hours of thi…

Hi Nabeel or anyone that knows. I have a ton of data that needs to be brought over from VAFS. I've got everything in Excel so I will be able to format it as needed. I have over 200 aircraft, 500 airports, and 3400 routes. I really don't want to do this manually if at all possible. I did find the route csv template and I'm working on that but I'd like to know if there would be a faster way to import the aircraft and airports? Perhaps in one quick swoop. Maybe somehow through the DB? Thanks, Keith
