I've seen a few people making and distributing IFE systems for VA's to offer to their pilots, but I don't buy into the concept. I understand that a long haul flight can be boring, but I don't see a need for an IFE. Those I've seen being advertised here are just glorified iframes with media being streamed from external sources inside them. There is no integration with the flight sim software, so it's just as easy to run the sim in a window, and watch media stored on the PC in another window. costs nothing, and almost certainly works better than some of these IFE's. This System is no longer in development. It is exclusive to only the virtual airlines already operating this system. Hello Guys, I recently finished coding a Dynamic Inflight Entertainment System, and since the current results are outstanding, I would like to share with you guys more information about this module, I am planning to start distributing soon. I named it DYNIFE. DYNIFE refers to Dynamic Inflight Entertainment System. This system is an inflight entertainment, but not like the others. Hi all, I'm looking for a front-end developer, with heavy experience in Javascript (backbone, ember, sencha), and experience with Phonegap/Apptanium. Some PHP is good. Must be willing to learn and go the extra mile to figure things out. You need to be able to architect and code some fairly complicated UIs, with code-reuse and develop libraries for use across multiple interfaces. Preferably in the NY area and can commute to Stamford, CT once a week or so, but if you're particularly strong we can maybe do a work-from-remote. I would like to know is there a way to block proxy sites from web servers? As I have a guy that keeps trying to register, and is using a proxy, as I have IP blocked him from the server, yet he keeps registering, and with a different IP each time.

Dear Fellow Flight Lovers, First off, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Scott Clawson, I am a retired UPS manager who worked in both their operations and security departments. I have just recently aquired a VA, and am very new to this hobby. What I am not new to is the fact that we have folks who like to steal. So I was thinking, seeing as phpVMS is hosted on github, we could get around the whole downloading a zip, uploading, etc etc etc. How easy would it be to set up a "stable" branch of phpVMS on github, which the updater can pull a zip of and install itself? (Also if it's not that easy, having a "stable" branch alone would be super handy as the master is not always error-free, and there aren't any historic downloads in the downloads tab on github )

Me and my COO were sitting in our teamspeak earlier discussing things when a random user named Colin Woody popped in. We have never given anything about our website or teamspeak out. He claimed to be a web designer working for Boeing and Mcdonald Douglas and coded a majority of their website. He claims to have done a lot of work with PHPVMS and actually had a fair amount of knowledge about the system. Now he wants to be a web designer for my VA. What should I do? He also has a VATSIM ID. Good Evening Captains, I am going to write an article on a magazine about my virtual airline and generally the virtual flights. This will include an article with a presentation of my va and some faq about virtual airlines and flights. This is an aviation magazine but most readers do not know what a virtual flight or even airline is. I want you to suggest me questions in order to use them for the faq. I am debating my-self whether to have a forum or not. I know that running a forum is a lot of work in a virtual airline point of view considering their is a lot more to manage. Would you have a forum in your Virtual Airline why or why not? Does it attract more pilots or is it just extra management for nothing? So I spent a few hours designing a website for a new project I'm thinking of starting. I just bought this app called Textastic for my iPad and heck! I gotta say it's freaking awesome app to code on the iPad on the go! Now I don't have to sit at my computer and code! I can code on my iPad anywhere now! It's well for the price! Only $9.99! Every time the last two days I tried to look at the va-list, it comes up for a few seconds and goes to a page to buy an ad on their site. Anybody else go there and experience this? There is no way I know of to let them know since you can't get on their site.
