We have quite a few addons, which is great, but the problem starts happening with keeping the latest versions, and sometimes people have stuff uploaded to different places, and then hosts go down or change, and some of the stuff is lost. I would like addons to be uploaded to Github or Bitbucket (whichever you prefer, though Github is better for reasons you'll see), as a public repository. It's not too much extra effort, but it ensures that 1. your code is available 2. people want to improve your code, it's easy to do so. Hi guys, One of my goals in moving to Jira was to give addon-developers and users a central place to handle bugs and resolve issues. With Jira, I can now add multiple projects, and add anyone as a point on that project. So basically, if any of you addon-developers (one addon, several), want a place to handle bug reports etc, let me know. I will add you in. I'm trying to make it easier for everyone, rather than people having to register between multiple bug-trackers, it's a bit easier to have it all in one place. Community building! Cheers!

Dear All I'm to proudly announce that I have completed a new form of flight booking system for the great PHPvms software. I actually combined 3 Add-ons (simpilot realschedulelite, frontschedule and lorathon random itinerary builder) to create this new method of flight booking. Attached, you can find the file. Nabeel what im trying to do is once a pilot is approved then a forum account is created, I have the creation script i just need to put it in to the trigger which i want to be the approve button, or thinking on further maybe when you click the pilots name i could add a button to create a forum account as well. The easiest option would be to get the script to fire reading the profile name email etc when the approve pilot button is hit, so i suppose the question is what happens now when you double click the accept pilot. Hope i make some kind of sence, Thanks

Is it possible to have a flight board that first checks the system time and then displays the following. Flight Number - Departure ICAO - Arrival - Aircraft - Status This would be eye candy, rather than actual status, since most of us have more flights than pilots. The board would display only flights with an arrival time within 2 hours of system time. Flight status would, depending onwhere they are in relation to system time, be on time, arriving, arrived. I suppose something similar could be done for departures, but I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible. Does this sound like something that could be done? Or, maybe I should ask if it has already been done…

Hello, This script is going well, but I have hit a brick wall for the time being. It is near impossible to include BOTH the phpBB Config files AND the phpVMS config files. This is because both of those config files contain further includes. No matter where you put this forum registration script, the sub-includes will always produce an error because they are missing. eg. AutoReg.php is in /home/ ppBB's config is in /home/forum/includes/ when including phpBB's file, it wants something in includes/, but because it is in /home/, it looks in /home/includes/ which is not correct. Hello everyone, After much confusion, I have finally completed my phpBB automatic registration script. Before publically releasing it, I am going to allow a select few to use it for testing/feedback purposes. Requirements Your phpBB installation must be in a folder in the root of your installation ie. if your site was in /home/me/, your forum must be in /home/me/forum, for example. Hey, I'm currently Running IPB as my forum and website but my vm uses phpVMS, so i, for the better part of today have been working on a module that uses IPB's user database for phpVMS's Authentication. there is a dev kit that links with their ipconnect setup so that when you log in on the remote user (phpvms) it go's ahead and checks the IPB database and authenticates, and then copies the user over to the phpvms database, and does this each time you login, except it updates the details so that you have a SSO enviroment. I am considering developing a new module. The module would be used for admin staff only, and would not be accessible by pilots. The concept is a schedule builder. Many VAs will assign any odd time and aircraft to their flights without a thought, however this module is intended for those who wish to build their schedules in a realistic way. The module would allow the user to add flights onto a timeline by aircraft, so that flights would be organised in an illustrative manner. So I've been asking around for a while now and I've seen others doing the same on how to take pilot data off vatsim and display it on their website. So I googled and finally, after about 3 months of hunting found a script called "VatsimPHP". Its freeware and easy to use. If you dont know much about php, the online manual helps alot. Hi guys. Maybe a year ago or so, a bunch of people requested something to spend pilot pay on and I saw it again today. Then the idea was being kicked around to come up with something. Suddenly, the author of the Pilot Shop came back and tossed out a quick release and then vanished. Too bad. I really think it would be great if we could get something similar to the pilot shop going as a module. Not only a pilot shop, but where pilots can buy shares of stock in the company as well as shares of stock in aircraft. Okay guys, and gals, I have been up, down, inside and out of this forum since I purchased PHPVMS from www.fivedev.net, and I'd have to say I have yet to see a post anywhere that asks or shows how people go about creating schedules to insert into the MyAdmin panel of php/VMS. I'd have to say that when we were using php/VMS on a free server, it was very hard to come up with an easier way to create a schedule. Hello everyone, I am in process of finishng up a new class for phpVMS that details statistics for your VA. I have attached a screenie from my development server with the stats that are built so far. Anyone have any suggestions for anything else you think a VA would like to have stats for? Total - Flights, Pilots, and Hours are already built into the phpVMS app. The rest come out of the new class I am building.

Here's something I've released for beta testing at freshJet. It's a pilot calendar, a personal planner allowing pilots to plan what flights they want to fly and when they want to fly them. At the moment, it's fairly basic, and all it really does is allow pilots to add and remove flights from their calendars however I plan on making it book the flights 24 hours before departure time. Anyone know of some open source weather data, whether it be raw data or a PHP class/XML module? I'm looking specifically for temperature and wind data, particularly winds aloft at certain altitudes and waypoints. Grateful for any help.

I have made a very simple list of all aircraft configured for my VA that show all information stored in the table phpvms_aircraft with links to images and to download the aircraft. If links are not configured in your aircraft table the interested row show "image not present" or "download not present". The last column show the status (enabled/disabled) of the aircraft. Just copy Fleet.php in /core/modules/Fleet (directory Fleet must be created) then copy fleet.tpl in /core/templates You can see a preview here I have made a link to show this list to all the pilots of the VA ciao - Gianni Fleet.zip

sry for my bad english skills.. mates, unfortunately i'm new in this php thing and I just need a little help. Is there any script that we can use to add more registrations in one aircraft? my va will operate a lot of airlines and its kinda hard to add 20x777's, 56x737's, etc. Someone said to me in this forum I have to add in the database but I dont want mess up the database so how can I do that? does someone have a script to add only registrations for the same type of a/c? thanks for your support - take care all - cheers!
