I will try and keep this as up to date with problems that come up all of the time. 1. This forum should be for VA owners to ask questions. If you are a member of a VA and are having a problem please contact your VA staff and ask them for your support first. If the VA staff can not answer the question then they should ask it here. 2. Custom kACARS questions should be asked to my email account. Since these are custom a lot of times a fix for one VA's custom version may not work for another VA's. 3. For the past few weeks I have been working with Nabeel to integrate phpVMS7 into kACARS. As of right now I will be able to integrate with phpVMS7. Once phpVMS7 is in a BETA stage I will release a kACARS Free version for testing. There is no point in releasing anything at this time since phpVMS7 is only in ALPHA and things are changing daily. I just wanted all to know that I am on top of it and which direction I am moving in.

Hi there, I have installed the Step 1 Aircraft buying Mod Version 0.91, and in the database, Under Aircraft, it added a table named 'cond' for aircraft condition. Is there a way that when filing a pirep with kACARS, it reads the current condition of the aircraft, and based on the landing rate, it write a new condition to the table? The idea is with a landing with a rate between -200 and -300 to subtract 7% from the condition. From -300 to -400 to subtract 15% from the condition and -400 to -500 subtract 30%. any landing harder than -500 subtract 50%. I was thinking of the core/modules/KACARS_Free/kACARS_Free.php module, maybe it can be write into that? my own UNS…

Hi, I have tried to use kAcars with my VA but when I attempt to log in (with the correct details in the settings area) it gives me the following error: Website Warning Encountered Notify system administrator of the switch error. Data not recieved switch = verify What does this mean and how can I fix it? Regards, ACTCVA

So I finally got the time to go ahead and modify kACARS_Free. The following have been added -> Profile Support - You can now fly with multiple profiles once you have written the profiles -> Site Settings - Along with the new application comes a new module. Inside of this module there are three settings that can be changed by the site administrator that will control kACARS_Free a little bit. 1. FS time in the log or system time 2. Version of kACARS_Free that you are currently running on your VA 3. It will have been a week tomorrow sInce I first released kACARS. I have had a boat load of hits to the downloads but have not received much feedback. Please tell me what you think. What can be better what are the problems what is annoying and needs to be tweaked...etc... One of the key reasons that I wrote this was the problems with FSACARS and XACARS both of which seem to have zero to minimal support. To All I am trying to use Kacars and I simply cannot get it to work. I am using this web host : 3eeweb.com I am using a free hosting package at the moment until everything works etc. So, i also have a .co.nr domain name. I have tried to use the download for Kacars profile but with no success of it working. Please help Lewis

Hi, I am running the latest version of kACARS but I am having a problem, it can't seem to find some of my routes. I can log in to my website The route is added to bid I can connect to FS But on a alot of the routes when you tell kACARS to "get bid info" it says "No Flight Found" any ideas? Thanks Scott

when I try to log onto the custom kACARS, I get the following error: unable to connect to remote server, then I press ok button and get this message : Notify system Administrator of switch error. Okay, so I have just recently started my VA and when I logged in to kACARS it did not work so I downloaded 0.8 version and it worked fine then I got an error about not being able to log in! So i downloaded the current version that log in problem doesnt happen anymore but now I get a connection error, i also get this error

Hi folks, I have been looking in the forums to see if I could find the solution and have tried most things I could see, but to no avail. kACARS will not let me login, but it will connect to FS no issue. I have checked that the url is correct, http://5starvirtualaviation.com/phpvms , in the3 opitions and in the local_config which it is. username and password checked and ok.. I have checked my firewalls and anitvirus to make sure they are letting the data out, which they are... but no, I still cannot get logged in, but if I use Xacars, no issue, it does everything. unistall one and try again no same issue. So what am I missing?

I have one aircraft stuck on KAcars but can't get rid of. I assume he must have locked up or something and I have tried to clear him from the Live Maps existence, but it won't go away?! I was wondering if in this new ACARS system, they ever included a function for stops. Basically stops are places where the plane stops in between its journey. For example it would be going from Gatwick airport to Schiphol airport, and stops in Brussels National, most of the times to pick up more passengers. Our airline has these kind of stops and for example XACARS does not accept them. In XACARS all it does is stop recording the flight after i landed at any airport which is not good! So if you could help me on this, it would be great.
